The Cranberries are female singers so "Do you have to let him linger"

Are they singing to a bisexual man who is letting his gay lover linger?

or are they singing to a bisexual woman who has yet to ditch her husband??

The Cranberries were one female and three males so no I doubt they were lesbians.

How odd

Maybe they mean The Corrs, no they were Sisters.

Very odd.

It was about the lead singer's first serious kiss.

She's also married to a man

I thought it was "let it linger", not him.

Ahh, memories. Growing up, this song reminded me of "Fish Finger(s)". (I was only, like, 6 at the time, don't judge me )

Didn't Boy George once say he thought of this song was about a fart? I may be wrong though.

Dear God!!!

What with this and the "Nothing compares to you is a cover" thread (shock, horror) the OP is either a total WUM or dimmer than a 5w light bulb.

Drugs.. Just say no kids

I only know 2 cranberries songs - Linger and Zombie - and they were both sang by a female so I assumed they were an all female line up. I'm fairly certain you lot have made mistakes. A lot of people thought "Cotton Eye Joe" was "Cock Eyed Joe"

Yes, of course they were lesbians, and Mr Blobby was a number one hit about the menstrual cycle.....

The Cranberries were crap, far too much reliance on guttural "Uuuuugh egh euurgh, eurgh egh uuuuuugh" atonality to pad out their dirgesome whinges to song length.
