Once you have the list of non Freesat channels, how do you get them to "appear" in the webif channel list?
Sorry if this is an obvious question.

Have you installed the channel editor, made your changes and rebooted?

After you do the scans on the Foxsat (freesat and Nonfree) you must then import them into the channels editor - there is a button at the top of the screen. You can then reset the channel editor the way you want, save the settings and reboot..

Are there any known issues with this?
I've tried several times to update channel info but seems to repeatedly fail to save properly?
Given up now, fingers knumb!

What browser/version are you using?

I'm updating via my iPad using the latest software. The channel editor and webif are the latest versions, tried it again this morning and although I get the saving words, it doesn't show the rows being updated and effectively hangs. It also seems to delete the previous saved changes before saving the new one's?
Thanks.

All of the interfaces are just tested with the latest (and -1) versions for the main PC platforms. Your problem sounds like a problem with handling javascript. The interface (apart from the Phone addons) were not designed to be phone friendly.
I suggest you try on a PC (Don't try saving on teh Phone again - I suspect that it may undo any changes you make via PC).

Think I might have found the issue?
If you use an ' in a channel name it doesn't like it. This may already be known?

Now that I've got this fantastic piece of software up and running, was just looking for recommendations for good non Freesat channels? Other than Sky News, and some of the music channels doesn't seem to be much worth porting to Freesat? I'm sure I'm wrong?

I am not surpised - handling literals with delimiters is complication that I guess Adrian did not consider.

Re the IPhone - I found some campatability tables http://www.quirksmode.org/m/table.html - I think the channel editor uses quite complex DOM handling.

Pick Tv & +1
Challenge & +1
STV HD & STV +1 (different programmes at time to ITV1)
Showcase 2

It depends what you like to watch.
6 months ago, I wouldn't have recommended Pick TV or Challenge but Sky do seem to slot in the odd decent programme on them nowadays. they're still padded out with a load of dross though.

They may have a number rather than a name.

raydon has released a new version of the firmware (4.0.9) - details from the usual place. One significant addition is disk-fix functionality.

Looked on the link to the usual place and still suggesting version 8?
What does disk fix do for you?

Well then you did not look in the correct usual place (Would post a link but that would be against forum rules). The first post in the thread has the link, #513 The announcement and documentation. The documentation will be included in a WebIf release targeted for Friday evening

What does disk fix do for you? Exactly what the name suggests See #513.

Currently on holiday and have checked the HDR via the web interface and noticed that my scheduled events page is not loading. The first event appears but then stops at the next events column and does not go any further (not even the "more" drop down).

When logged in via SSH and browse to the scheduled events page it shows the following error message:

Runtime Error: /opt/var/mongoose/include/sched.jim", line 418: can't read "nextevsvcid" : no such variable

Any thoughts?

According to the EPG, Doctor Who has lost its CRID references so that is why I think the web interface is erroring.

By my reckoning it should sort itself out when Doctor Who has recorded and disappears from the planned recordings at 6:15 PM (ish).

If anyone is in front of the box I would be interested to see what the actual box is currently displaying (via the CRID test) for BBC1 West Midlands showing of Doctor Who.

Cheers for confirming Graham - at least I know its not my setup.

It would be better if the script which generates the scheduled events could be fixed so that cases where this happens (however rare this maybe) does not cause the script to fail but to carry on populating the remaining events.
