Manfred Mann - 5-4-3-2-1 (1964)
I like most Manfred Mann singles, but this one, their third release and their first ever hit, is probably my favourite of the lot. As far as I know, this is the only song about the Trojan War to ever make the UK Top Ten.

Marvellous track by a sixties soul legend.

Reg died fairly recently, so this is a somewhat belated tribute to him. This fine track was the B-side of Any Way That You Want Me.

Keith - 98.6 (1967)
If I were to list my top ten favourite intros then 98.6 by Keith would almost certainly be included, and if I were to list my top ten favourite one hit wonders then 98.6 by Keith would almost certainly be included on that too. Fabulous track.

I love the Everlys.

Their heyday, of course, was the late fifties and early sixties, but in subsequent years the two brothers didn't get on very well and it was rare for them to perform together live, so I count myself as privileged to have seen them perform together live on two such rare occasions, once in the eighties and once in the early noughties. Both gigs were superb.
