Jessie J wrote Party in the USA and I've seen Miley in concert twice (with the kids obviously) and she's absolutely fantastic live. The girl can really sing, she plays several instruments and has written quite a few of her own (and in my view better) songs.

To put this in context I've also seen Beiber, JLS and one or two others, as well as the XF mob and there is absolutely no comparison.

And as you know, if she was shit I'd happily say so

I do kind of agree though, he shouldn't have chosen RFYL as first single if he wants to be taken seriously (i feel terrible even saying this, Matt I love you ) I think RFYL is too xfactor,pop,cheesy (I like it though)

He had so many amazing options as a firstsingle and it would have shut people up but I think RFYL was a poor first single and people are loving hating on him.

In my opinion, I don't think he would have chosen it as his first single if he had complete control. I think its to do with xfactor and syco and publicity etc.

Ella, some people would love to hate whatever came out as the first single, I honestly don't think it would've made much difference. And so many people actually love it - look at the overwhelming preponderance of likes versus dislikes on the YT video; moreover, the ratio's gone up steadily from the start. I've yet to see a YT that has 100% positive comments - just a matter of getting used to the fact that not everyone is as passionate about Matt as we are, and growing a thicker skin.

The people hating on him were going to hate on him anyway. RFYL isn't my favourite song on the album by any stretch but it's a great single - as demonstrated by the attention it's had on the radio. I expect Stars & Lovers will be next and that will do very well for him too but I'd be surprised if the people slagging him off for RFYL will suddenly see the light and decide he's a genius.


She really really is - she did a cover of I love Rock n Roll which was just awesome. I love her version of the Climb it's really emotional but most people have only heard Joe's which is a very poor copy (much as I love Joe but he didn't do that song justice at all)

I didn't say you did, in fact I didn't say anyone did - only that I would if I thought she was - but people do tend to be dismissive of her cos she came from Disney and kids like her.

Same here Wkd RFYL is not my favourite song from the album .........all I know is that the songs from the album have a different flavour and they are much more of my style.............I like RFYL primarily because Matt is singing it however having heard the previews I much prefer those to this single. The album Is going to be, or I should say already is a substantial album and I am thrilled really thrilled by its content.
