Facebook places on blackberry curve..
For some reason, I cannot get GPS enabled on my handset. I downloaded the latest FB app, I can see the places icon, and can see where friends have checked in but I keep getting a message saying No GPS support when I try and check in. On the home screen, I can see that GPRS is there. is there something I should do to enable this?

GPS and GPRS are two totally different things.
GPS (global positioning system) detects satellites and allows your position to be located on a map. GPRS (general packet radio service) is the data service that carries your email and internet data. Does your BB Curve definitely have GPS? Does it say it does on the box? Not all phones have this. |

Thanks for your reply
My handset is a 8520 I no longer have the box but it doesn't looks like it does have GPS, I can't see a setting anywhere to enable it. I had assumed that all these new fangled handsets could do everything!
