Brian just didn't work as a judge.

Could've been any one of Cowell, Cole or Osbourne. Like choosing between whether you want to break your left leg, right leg or both arms.

Marginally went for Cowell as he was the master of the panto cliche drivel and most of these shows have been marginally improved by him not being there.

That said, Osbourne & Cole could be phenomenally irritating.

Correction...Dannii is the most liked judge on this forum. Never understood how that D-list 'popstar' ever made it onto the show.

The "truth" is she seldom judged anything at all, and was far more prone to syrupy claptrap than anything else. Although the "panto boy" comment mentioned earlier calls to mind her once attacking Cowell for "picking on kids". But even without the Rhydian and Ben Mills issues, she'll always stand out as an appalling mentor.

Between Osbourne and Cowell for me, but I went with Osbourne.

No correction to you, Dannii has been hugely popular as an X Factor judge and you know it. She was a fantastic judge, a great mentor so get over it!

Dannii was basically the anti Cheryl that people rallied behind. Most of the audience could barely muster up enough energy to care about her was she wasn't being spoken about in connection to Cheryl.

I voted Tulisa as my least favourite judge as she's very dull and doesn't come across as having much personality. I think if this vote was 'vote to save' like in big brother, she would have been evicted.

Sharon Osbourne is my favourite of all judges. She was so funny and bitchy, I loved her! Then I probably liked Cheryl and Dannii the most as they were so glamourous. Obviously simon made the show so i suppose he should get the X factor judging crown. Brian doesn't really count as a judge as he only did a few episodes!

100% spot on. No-one cared about Dannii in series 4, and that was her most difficult year in terms of how she was treated (Sharon O).

Yep, I've noticed that too, even though Sharon (the only X Factor judge to bully another fellow judge) was way ahead at one point.

I despised Sharon Osbourne. She was an utterly crap judge and picked really crap people, then would burst out crying and throw tantrums when they were voted off. Dreadful woman.

It's a shame Mel Gibson's blown it. This sort of rewrite would be right up his street. In truth, that year did much to cement Sharon's unpopularity. And the main reason for Dannii's popularity (i.e. the feedback she gave) was apparent and acknowledged from the outset.
