I just heard the new Björk album all the way through and think its fairly cool not sure im going to love it but...
I think I prefer it to volta which I wasn't so keen on other than 3 or 4 of the songs
I love cosmogony as well as the single crystalline but i've known that for ages!...
a couple of the songs i found a little boring to be honest but maybe in time...

has anyone else heard the album yet and what do you think of it!?

Am really looking forward to getting it!
Downloaded Crystalline when it was on itunes but it went missing from me computer (!?) so not heard anything from the album so it will all be new to me when its released.
Glad you thought it was better than Volta, I'm not a big fan if that either but it did grow on me. Maybe Biophilia will be the same.
Either way... excited!!

Mutual Core is SO GOOD. I'm more of a pop fan so I wasn't expecting to like it much (having only been a casual fan of Bjork before) but the entire album is pretty strong actually. Mutual Core is DEFINITELY my fave, also Crystalline and Moon I really enjoy.

hmm ive listened to the album again and i think crystalline, cosmogony, mutual core and hollow are all really good!
the rest of the songs though... hmm im not sure about
they dont seem to have much structure... if that makes sense. i like the sounds! but they just dont seem very memeorable as songs?
anyway its interesting to see what other people think!

Have heard some great things about Mutual Core and Crystalline right enough, they seem to be the stand out tracks.
Am pleased it sounds like she's going in a more 'pop' direction for this album as she does that skewed kinda pop so well.
Not long 'til I'll finally get to hear it so I shall give my verdict then. Bet she's quaking in her avant-garde oh-so-chic boots!

After listening to the album and downloading the app...her artistry has really gone to new super sonic levels. It most certainly isn't a more pop direction. Whoever has said that is seriously misguided. Volta was a more pop/urban direction. Biophillia is a return to her roots. And all the better for it. It is beautiful, enchanting and visceral.

It's a great album.
People really over-use the term "concept album" now, but Biophilia really deserves the title. Who else but Björk could make an album about, well, nature/the universe?!

Ah! I read a review a wee while ago which hinted it was kinda a return to the Debut type sound so that's where I got the 'pop' thing from. Having not heard it though I realise they could well be talking pish!
It's pop Jim, but not as we know it..
And aye only Bjork could make an concept album about earth, nature etc. and make not strike fear in to my heart!
