Is it possibe to do this on an iPod Nano?

Hey guys, I have a 6G iPod Nano and as I'm learning to drive I bought a CD ROM that helps you learn. Included with it is a 18 hour MP3 file that allows me to revise on the go which I find very useful.

I've added the MP3 to my iPod however I have a problem. As an example, I'll listen to an hour of it in the morning on the way to work and then will pause it and put the iPod into standby. The problem is, If I decide to listen to some music in between and return to the MP3 it will play from the beginning which is frustrating as I've had to manually find the point where I was.

Is there anyway the iPod can remember at which point I finished listening from, a bit like how Sky+ can with recordings.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

You need to convert it into ipod audiobook format: that way you can stop listening, listen to something else, and when you play again it will start where you left off.

The process is as follows:
1: right click on the track in iTunes.
2: Select "create AAC version"
3epending on the speed of your processor, it will take a while to the job: the new version will be greyed-out until it is finished.
4: Right -click on the AAC version, select "Show in Windows Explorer"
5: it will show as an "m4a" file.
6:Rename it, by right clicking and changing "m4a" to "m4b".
ignore the warning message.
7: Right-click, select "open with itunes", so you hear the first few seconds playing.

It will now be under your itunes books, instead of under songs, so that's where to look when you want to synch it to your iPod.

Hope this helps!
