"I'm going to die tomorrow"

But that means tomorrow would be April 22 2011, so how come Amy and Rory were in Colchester and not in the USA ?

I think he means as in the following day he would travel back to April 2011. Whereas Amy and Rory in the department store were there in September 2011 - for them they had already done the beach and seen the death. The Doctor we are watching tonight hasn't yet been to the beach.

Are we sure of that? That would have meant Amy getting famous pretty quickly! It could be anytime in their future! And I'm not even convinced it has to be post-April 2011, does it have to be the Amy and Rory who've already witnessed the Doctor's death that he saw? We've never heard what they did during their multiple periods back on Earth, although that would mean Amy being famous pretty quickly too...

Spoiler
And even that might not be definite - the timelines for the finale are pretty confusing from spoilers I've read - is the whole premise of it not that the clock stops at 5.02pm on 22nd April 2011, which didn't happen in TIA. So it could be 21st April 2011 during Closing Time, but in a different timestream where Amy and Rory are in Colchester (for some reason, is that where the Doctor dropped them off then?!) and tomorrow they'll be involved in the events of the finale.

Unless the next series is set in his past and shows us stories that we've only heard about up until now

Which would mean no other Doctors after Matt which can't happen either.

Future Who could take place during that 200 year period of the Doctor's life between The God Complex and Closing Time. The Doctor could regenerate several times during this period. The last of these regenerations could be, by some amazing fluke, back into Matt again, just in time for him to meet his demise at Lake Silencio.

Or if we get bored with that, then after we’ve developed faster than light travel, we can go back in time and change it so that he doesn’t die at all, eh?. Haha! Oh never mind.

We first met Craig last year in the Lodger, which I assumed to be set in June 2010. At the end he had just got together with his girlfriend. In tonights episode he's got married, moved house and had a baby and the baby is a few months old. So if The Lodger was set in June 2010 tonights episode is probably set in the near future - maybe 2012 or 13? So the Amy and Rory we saw are from a year or two after they were dropped off last week and the events of the series have already happened. That's how I interpreted it anyway!

It was odd. Why did it have to be tommorrow? Was he just sick of traveling and putting it off? Did he decide that his final act wasn't seeing some galaxies, but helping Craig sort his life out. Very doctorly, and I like that.
Want even more confusion? Factor in miracle day to these very confusing dates. I mean, we assume it happened in the summer of 2011, after the Doctor's death, and we assume that Craig's story was set in late 2011 early 2012. You'd think the headlines would be all about the camps etc, not about BGT. Then again... no matter what's happening in the world, that usually tends to be the case...

I thought the Colchester Evening News headline/ front page was very accurately observed as a sign of the times we're living in.
So many important stories are sidelined and relegated in favour of superficial pseudo-news about the likes of BGT and The X Factor.
However, the story it featured about a local BGT contestant poisoning a rival on the show is just the sort of thing that is bound to happen in one of these crummy reality shows someday.

I don't want the Doctor to have heard of BGT, it sullies him a little in my eyes.
No harm done, I'll just overlook it.

The Doctor is a time traveller, he probably counts his days in sleeps.
