Fantastic news. Although it begs the question why she bothered auditioning in the first place.

To be honest, this has been known to some for almost a week but from the last I heard, I actually thought they'd talked her round.

It's the right thing to do tbh, she was amazingly funny but it is a singing competition. Poor Goldie wanted to be taken seriously though but good on her for doing this!

Absolutely! She doesn't even seem the type to be deluded about her talents - she clearly knew from the start that she would be a joke act if she made it through.

It would have been interesting watching her dance but her singing left a lot to be desired.

Aww that's a shame. I really really loved Goldie which was surprising since normally I just want joke acts to frick off. But fair play to her for putting her foot down on making her a joke act... though with that dancing there wasn't really many routes they could go down...

They will show her get through, then cut to the story that she has left and visit another over who failed to get through and give them a place in the final 16 instead? yes but there was still one place left anyway, so she could still get that place. Plus there is 2 places left anyway now Goldie has gone.
