She might not be able to say if she quit or not, then again she wouldn't care if she had gone. But why make a report about her quitting then interviewing her and telling them 'she hasnt quit'.

A conversation on Twitter between Sami and two contestants known to have been eliminated suggested that she had been eliminated too.

She may not care but she may be contractually bound to not say too much for now. Assuming it's true of course.

Yes, you are. And no, he was complete ass. Of course, he was replaced with that horrendous demon, Tim Urban, who gave new meaning to "karaoke hell".

What is Gary thinking.”

I'm sure it's "What the hell were the producers thinking?!" instead.

But he did get rid of
Spoiler
Luke Lucas AND John Wilding,
so let's give the man SOME credit.

lol,

So basically Gary is screwed.

He is going to have to rely on Craig Colton to save the boys cause the others have no chance IMO.

Too right she pulled out at this stage! It's insane she was going to go through to the live shows, and she is penalising a good contestant's chance while being there. I suspect Louis had her category then...

Ironically, I think Marcus and James have a far better shot. I could be misguided in these thoughts. But James has eye candy appeal, as well as a distinct, enjoyable voice. Marcus is also a good singer, but has an appealing personality.

Craig is a bit of an oversinger. I can see this potentially being a problem, especially if he pulls as many faces as he did at his audition.

Naturally - he's the only judge the producers can foist the joke acts on.

This is going to be interesting...it's the first series since series 5 that there hasn't been an outstanding dire act. It's going to rely on the panel more than ever.

Soerry for double posting, but the more I think about it the more I think The X Factor producers may have changed their mind and 'forced' her out. They feared the show may flop (the Overs House stage was filmed on 24/25 August before they could really tell how the show would hold up) so they decided to cover themselves with another 'crazy' act who'd get people talking. Now they realise the panel has strong chemistry and the likes of Kitty and Frankie - who both can hold a note - are creating headlines so they can drop the bad act, gain some credibility (sp?) and focus more on the stronger acts.

So the brainless producers thought she was "talented" and she has the sense to see through them ... it is a pity that most of the viewers do not see this mindless unvocal "talent" as entertainment ... I actually maybe the only person who watches this to see/ hear GOOD singers.. thank you Goldie your resignation accepted with great Joy and hopefully replaced with someone who can sing .. I had Terry and Sami as bankers for the overs .. I just hope the other talented ones get a chance

The producers don't want acts who can sing though. They want a Saturday night entertainment show that everyone is talking about. They'd put through a mountain gorilla (and get Louis to mentor it) if they thought it would boost the ratings.

well if I want to watch untalented clowns I would go visit a Circus ,, so how dare the producers of a "talent" show constantly bombard me with dire crap that I Fast forward aka Jedward.. Wagner.. same difference to name a few and abandon real talent .. it really makes me feel sick!

i thought she was very entertaining! without a doubt, not a good vocalist. however, this is the x factor remember. it is an entertainment show not a deadly serious singing competition. she has either realised that she is making a fool of herself or she actually believes that she is a talented vocalist that has been misrepresented by the show!

She was seemingly put through to the lives but has now withdrawn.

Yeah obviously the overs have becoming a laughingstock category over the past few years, so I won't be surprised if Goldie copped out due to fears of producer manipulation. The only one who really looks competitive so far is Jonjo, who has the Phil Stacey military man vibe and can make it midcard with his British pseudo-country stylings. At least the US version of the overs don't look bad all (I'm spoiling that one).

Do I know you? Because I made this "Jonjo is the British Phil Stacey" comparison earlier today....

I'm sure the producers are really unhappy that Goldie has hoisted her middle finger their way. What a laugh it is to read people saying 'this is a singing competition.' Do they actually watch the show?
