That's not the point. If a contestant unable to obtain a visa were to win, it would seriously limit their opportunities and limit the way the show could use them when it came to things like XF US, and Sian is that type of singer/performer.

That's open to interpretation though. She may not have quit; she may have quit and can't talk about it yet (and is concerned that they may think the story got out from her, in which case she would be in breach of contract) or she may have not quit at all and actually been fired following the negative reaction to leaks that she was through to the live shows but the show is twisting the story to not look like the bad guys.
