Is River Song ...(possible spoiler)

If you've seen the trailer carry on if not this might be a spoiler so you've been warned.

Simple question. Is River Song Madame Kavarian?
In the trailer/prequel there is a few people wearing the eye patches so that could be a sort of symbol of the religion of the silence, but for me the big curly hair and the way River gives that evil smile i think they are somehow the same person.

Thoughts and opinions please.

Old Amy, which the Doctor left for dead. Though how she regenerated would be a doozy to explain.

That is quite possibly the stupidest theory I have EVER HEARD.

Sh'boobie's is far more likely.

Or the Rani.

why must it always be The Rani? Not digging but....Madame Kovarian as her own character surpasses the Rani by what i have seen

I would love to know more about her motives though. But River is her own story as is Amy. The only link is Madame K has been a massive influence on each characters lives.

But there will be so many twists ahead next week! But Madame K is her own character i definitely think. And all the more for that,

Ehh River used up all her regeneration powers to save the Doctor, she can no longer regenerate. Pretty sure that was implied in 'Let's Kill Hitler'. And yeah Amy is just Amy, she's nothing really that important, just what happens to her. I seriously doubt that Amy is a Time Lady; River was conceived whilst Amy and Rory were doing it when the TARDIS was in the time vortex, that's how she got her Time Lady characteristics.

I don't think so, River has to die in the Library otherwise none of this will ever have happened and the 10th Doctor would have regenerated in the Library. And remember the River we see cannot regenerate anymore, and in previous regeneration went from the little girl to Mels to River - why, if she was Madame K, would she wait to manipulate her future self, why not her past? I don't think it makes any sense at all, sorry.

Spoiler
And it's not just River and Madame K wearing the eyepatches, Amy, Rory and The Doctor will wear them too, so they're not significant in terms of linking River and Madame K

And as for the other theory concerning Amy, The Girl Who Waited was a standalone episode, not an arc episode, and the older version of Amy was wiped from existence by saving the younger one. She could not continue existing as Amy now has that time ahead of her, it hasn't yet been lived. So old Amy doesn't come into this at all.
