On topic-ish - will you see the new Tintin film because of Steven Moffat

Steven Moffat is the co-screenwriter of the new CGI Tintin film out in December. I wonder if Doctor Who fans will see it because of Moffat?

I wonder if the film will contain the Moffatisms we've seen on Doctor Who - young children, lots of time travel and some funny comedic lines? I can't imagine any time travel in Tintin.

I might, since I was a HUGE Tintin fan as a kid (used to take out a Tintin adventure next to
my Target DW books ).
Isn't the film getting some criticism for its "uncanny valley" CGI images?

No, I very rarely watch films or other series just because a particular actor or producer is involved, it all depends if it looks interesting or not.

I'm going to see it becuase I've been a Tintin fan for as long as I can remember. However, if I wasn't, I would probabaly end up going and seeing it because of Moffat. It's one of the main reasons I watced Sherlock.

Must be honest if the clips I have seen are of the quality of the whole movie then I will be giving it a miss.

Moffat's involvement makes me more likely to watch it but not enough to make it a must-see at the cinema. I'll give it a couple for months and wait for it to appear in the bargain bins at the supermarket

The only time I ever read Tin-Tin, it was in French (and it was compulsory) so it's not really associated with childhood so much as torture.

Only if after the opening credits it is revealed to be 109 minutes of Doctor Who to make up for not getting any after xmas till Autumn. Tintin could leave his house in the opening scene only to be exterminated by the Daleks or flattened by a TARDIS crash landiing OZ style

I'll be going to see it because it's Tintin and I love Tintin. Moffat's involvement is just an added bonus

Ditto.
(Am slightly worried by the quality of the CGI as seen on trailers (on internet). Doesn't quite have the clarity I associate with Herge's illustrations, or to put it another way, seems a bit more akin to Polar Express than Avatar). Having said that will probably see it in first few weeks of its release. Moffat not just the only creative person involved that makes me interested, apart from the intrinsic interest of Tintin itself.
Generally speaking if I like someone's work in film, tv or theatre I would be inclined to want to see more of what he or she can do.

No, I am not a fan of Tintin at all.

No, I am (or was) a huge Tintin fan so will see it just for that.

I like Moffat's Who a lot, but I wouldn't search out anything else he's involved in on the strength of it (unlike, say, Gaiman and Cornell).
