Anyone else hate people who wear these large glasses when they don't actually need them? i.e. just wear them to look cool.

I keep seeing more and more people wearing these and I just want to walk over to them and mash them into their face

My sister does this and she's always punching the lenses out a good pair of glasses or sunglasses too.

At least I'm not the only one!

I've actually just walked into someone I knew from school ages ago outside a shop who was wearing these on his way to a night out, I had to mention to him "what the hell are you wearing those for" I notice when I drove past him in the car he'd taken them off after I said that, must have felt like a right bellend

Agree. Do they think it makes them look more intelligent? Wrong. You just look like you did before, in a pair of childish plastic lense-less specs.

The geeky specs have been "fashionable" for years now, It was a lad thing when I was in my first year of college. I've now graduated from uni!!

Which either means
a) this is the back end of the style parade
b) They're here to stay!? ...

can't stand them they make the wearer look like a muppet. You can tell the people who need to wear glasses as they have normal ones that suit their face.

I find these amusing as well, I wouldn't say I get angry though it's not quite that serious to me.

They annoy me too. It's not so bad when there are lenses in them but if they are lens less or plastic, they look ridiculous. And yes, people can tell!

OMG I hate this. I just want to be able to know the person beforehand, and know 100% they dont need them, and confront them, and say, 'Oh I didnt know you needed glasses to see well' and get their response.

I dont understand this look at all. Sure if your a geeky looking person, then maybe you can get away with it. But when its trendies and you know they dont need them, I just want to someone to smack them offa their heads and knock some sense into them

My genuine glasses wearing friend says that this trend annoys him because it's like going around in a wheelchair even if your legs are fine.

And there I was thinking they were the free 3d specs you get at the cinema with the lenses removed!

I saw a picture of my 14 year old cousin on fb. She was wearing a stripy top and these stupid frames. I asked her if she was on her way to a "Where's Wally?" convention. After she googled Wally she unfriended me.

Haha, priceless!

They annoy me too, I spent years in primary and high school being teased for wearing glasses....now it's a 'trend'!!

People therefore also do not need earrings, nose piercings and certainly not bracelets. Glasses frames are nothing more than a decoration around your eyes, and if you're going to rule these out then other accessories surely have to go to!

i think they look really cute on some guys. as long as they have glasses in them (because glasses without glasses is just silly) and it suits their face.
