I think they can look cool on people sometimes. It depends who the person is though and if they suit you or not.

I have a pair of nerd specs I bought in a prank shop I never wear them. In fact I don't know where they are right now...

They don't make me angry, just find them pointless but that is fashion for the most part - pointless. Saying that I do like what I look like in glasses but fortunately (Unfortunately depending on perspective) I have perfect vision so have never had the need for them

I have a pair but they are prescription. I got the idea after seeing them on Colin Firth in A Single Man - directed by Tom Ford and released by him soon afterwards. Apparently Colin Firth just grabbed them out of a props box but after the film was released there was a huge demand for them so Tom Ford copied the design

Someone came to see me the other day at work and they had a pair on without lenses. Ahh it really irritated me

But for most glasses wearers(I am one) they are a necessity and not a fashion statement or an accessory. I don't wear my glasses (when I am not wearing contacts) because they are in fashion I wear them so I can see. I don't accessorise my face with my glasses I don't really have much choice if I want to be able to see where I am driving say. go into any opticans and you will find rows and rows of understated glasses not nerd glasses.

Yeah, I had to wear those godawful 70's NHS glasses when I was a kid, they were either pink, blue or black and I hated them. Now they are bloody fashionable? Jesus

I only hate wearing glasses because I can't keep the bloody things clean and get through those bloody lens wipes like crazy!

The whole geeky specs/emo glasses thing has been in and out of fashion for a while now. I remember Mel B and Louise Redknapp wearing them in the late 90's.
