Unfair Groups?
Leanne 83

Why every year do the judges take solo's and turn them into groups? What about how hard the original groups work to get to judges houses only for them to be turned away in favour of the group the judges created. Every year they put through a 'formed group' which just isn't fair on the others!!!

The groups should be strong enough to beat the formed groups who haven't had lots of practise to gel or perform together. It's saying something if the formed groups are better and have been together for around a month rather than bands who have been around for years... so really it is fair, the groups need to step up is what it's saying.

If the original groups were good enough they would get through.

Yeah I get what your saying but some of the formed groups haven't been better but get through anyway as the are the judges project.

Original groups don't stand a chance because even if they are talented, they don't have the personality or anything interesting about them to stand out. By forming their own groups with acts who have already been televised (

Derry and Bradley, for example
) it means the public already know the members and makes them more interesting.

I am still waiting for them to form a group of great singers, but they all look like clones of Sam Dingle, but we know that will never happen, regardless of how great they can sing.

If they are not pretty boys or sexy girls, they are not going to get selected to form a group, it really is that simple, as One Direction have proved, as they do not have the best voices, but Cowell knows the teeny girls will buy anything if there are a group of pretty boys singing it.

The most annoying part is when all the rejected solo artists are sitting together after being told they weren't good enough, and then acting shocked and suprised when told they are being put into groups. Why would they still be in the building (never mind sitting with every other rejectee in a room) if they'd been told they weren't good enough.

I'm not sure they would, particularly where Simon's involved. There were a couple of decent groups last year who were booted out in favour of 1D and the manufactured girl group.

You need a girl group to get booted out in week 1 or 2 of the live shows. Its traditional.

I really want a girl group to do well for once. At least to week 7 or 8

I totally agree and thought the same thing. Why do they never put together a mixed sex group? It's so dull seeing the usual all girl / boy line up!
