It seemed to me that either conciously or sub conciously he naused that up on purpose. I don't think he wanted to go any further in the competition tbh

i think he lost the belief in himself. i like him, yes i find him hard to watch with all that arm flapping but his voice is ok, but when he said in his vt he never expected to get this far, i think he just lost all confidence in himself.

I want him to get through. If he does I reckon I'll vote for him most weeks. I just hope there's a wider and better range of songs in the live shows this year.

I think they may give him a Tulisa-like makeover in the teeth dept. before the Lives (if he gets through of course, lol). not being awful, btw, but they all get some cosmetic dentistry done in the Mansion. IMO he's painful to watch but I really think his voice is fantastic.

Glad he got a second chance after tonight he deserved it.

He's a nice guy, but I he really lacks the confidence to nail it when it matters.

I agree, he doesn't have the confidence or more importantly the drive, which is what I meant in the op. It's a huge commitment which I don't think he really wants to take on, he has a family and he's too old for the huge amount of time and pressure that comes with being a 'pop star'. His ego ( understandably) is trying to tell him different though.

It's the same with any contestant over a certain age or with children, its nigh on impossible to make it in the pop industry unless you are prepared to sacrifice any semblance of a homelife.

I do quite like him. But I can't help thinking of Daniel Evans.

The thing is that he could afford to stuff up because of how low the standards are in his catergory.
