They should lower the Overs to Under 21

I think they should lower the Overs age to under 21. That way more talent will go through to the main show as the boys and girl category seem quite competitive. The Over 25 category is quite weak in comparison.

Totally agree. The Overs is the joke category. 21 would be a good figure, too. Fairer spread of talent.

I guess The Overs have reasonable singers in them this year, but they won't sustain public interest. Under 21s/Over 21s would be fairer split.

Is this a serious thread? An "Over" at 22?

Sure, the Overs category is too encompassing but raising it to over 30 would be a more reasonable idea.

Why don't they turn all the rejected over 25's into a group?

my sil was talking today about Cheryl coming back, I though if any groups were to be made it would be an under 19 but doubt it will happen this year, but the talent is so tough in those categories they really should think about splitting them.

Mixed Under 19's
Girls 20-24
Boys 20-24
Mixed Over 25's
Groups

The Overs are rubbish - there are too many talented acts leaving because they're in a tough boy and girl categories when they could have a chance. It's not as though good Overs would be sacrificed in the process.

EDIT: I meant the Overs should be Over 21s; not Under 21s in the OP.

Was it a bit odd that they decided to make up another girl group from the two that had already failed at their first chance, instead of choosing a girl group from the girls that just missed out on Judges Houses, who presumably they'd thought were better singers?

EDIT: oops wrong thread...
