By that, I mean the girls or the boys?

As long as I've been watching, he's always ended up with the Groups or the Overs & as we all know, they might as well not bother turning up.

As Louis is the senior judge, isn't it about time he was given a good category?

The groups and overs aren't always bad - Olly was runner up and Matt would've been in them any other year - but Louis' choices make the category weaker.

Thank you guys. I didn't watch that series, so I didn't realise.

His 8 aren't as bad this year, compared to others. It's Tulisa I feel sorry for.

It's a disgrace they won't ever give him the boys or girls category. He's a successful music manager after all and has managed several solo artists.....he discovered and launched Samantha Mumba for example.

Louis is always given the 'comedy' acts such as Jedward and Wagner to manage...and anyone who isn't comedy by the judges house stage he manages to turn into comedy/parody after a few weeks!

He didn't do so badly with JLS at the end of the day.

That's how I've seen it since I started watching XF, that's why I asked the question.

I was beginning to think he was being used or something.

Very true.

Are they the most successful XF act, even though they didn't win?

He's not being used. He knows full well what he's there for and will dutifully put through a couple of 'funny' ones for a bit of variety in the lives.

None of the other judges could get away with it without losing their "credibility".

It's ridiculous that Louis has been given a weak category again. People mock Louis but actually he has had alot of success with his acts. The only year he got given a good category, he won. G4 were the real winners of series 1 commercially speaking. JLS have done great and I don't think any other judge would have made such a success of Jedward.

Joke acts for a joke judge.

JLS were always going to do well, they really shined throughout the show.

whether Louis added to their success or hindered their chances of winning is open to debate...he got them to do older, slower songs most weeks...when most of their hits since the show have been upbeat dance/R&B songs. However in his defence you could also say that the mainstream TV audience may not have voted for an act doing Dance/R&B each week.

What else is expected when he puts through novelty acts all the time. Give him the girls and boys, then thats it!

Yes its well over due. Louis deserves a good category for once. Just knew he'd get the overs or groups though, poor Louis.

Yet he probably has the most important role - especially now Simon has left.

Well she couldn't really do much about it by then. Although yes, she's certainly a better sport than Louis. And it was probably in the back of her mind that they're effectively plasticine that can be twisted and shaped however they want as soon as they get to Greece (which apparently doesn't have any cities), too.

Bless old Louis! He was the least excited of all four judges to find out who he had. I'd be amazed if he doesn't put Kitty through for entertainment value.

I think he's used to it.

I knew he was going to get the Overs or the Groups; he virtually always does.
