I think he had a decent category in 2007 with the over 25's. Niki Evans, Beverly Trotman and Daniel DeBourg. Niki's version of Nothing Compares To You and My Heart Will Go On were absolutely spine-tingling.
Feel more sorry for him getting landed with Siniitta at JH! Bet hes still in counselling! I am after the palm leaves exhibition

Why oh why has he been stuck with Sinitta? Has Cowell had it written in stone for ITV that someone has to have her as their 'advisor'? Surely another one of |Boyzone or Westlife would be available?

Good point, and in the last series Mary actually would have made the Final 4 without the riggage to keep Cher in. She was a consistently high vote getter and imo was sabotaged by being given the same sorts of songs week in and out because Simon actually feared she might win the competition.

Apparently it was Adele at first but Simon switched her over in favour of Sinitta, can't remember why
