We weren't told who it was, but everyone assumed it was Lascel since the spoilers told us he wasn't at JH. But it turned out he didn't get through anyway.

According to today's press yes. And 20 years ago I'd probably have had a moralistic response. But now I can't see why it should wreck his chance of a music career (I know it hasn't yet and he was out of the competition anyway).
