Hey guys, just dropped in to say I've been supporting Marcus ever since his audition. This may sound odd coming from a Cher Lloyd fan, but I really like Marcus' soul vibe as well as his voice, and even though there's been speculation that he could be vulnerable tonight, I'll be rooting for him above all others. Who knows, I could even become a permanent fixture here.

Marcus was great tonight, better than James and Jason Orange's mate so fingers crossed he's safe for tomorrow, can't see Gary sending Frankie home though.

He was fantastic, so relieved. And Gary seemed really pleased. Plus it is nice all the judges agreed he is one of the nicest and most humblest contestants (hopefully that will help sway Gary's choice tomorrow)

Was out tonight, and just watched ITV Catch Up for two hours waiting on Marcus's performance to load. Was really impressed. He looked a bit nervous, and I didn't like the dancers or the choreography or even the song choice (I think he should be doing soul and maybe some classic r'n'b tracks, but it's a small complaint) but his vocals were really good and he was definately one of the best of the night (I never saw any performances after his). Really hope he's through.

Shame we can't vote, I can only hope Gary sees sense and axes Frankie but it's definately between James and Marcus.

Does anyone else think it was totally unnecessary of the X Factor to talk about what was written in the papers given he's clearly uncomfortable about it? I thought he did very well actually, wouldnt know that he was a gay guy from those moves. He was actually more comfortable than I have even seen straight guys in acts like those. If he doesnt mind, I don't see anything wrong, he is a natural stage performer and so outgoing. Its just a stage act, lots of gay guys act as straight guys in tv shows, movies, music etc are coupled with females.

But yeah, I would prefer him to be in his own on most occasions.

Thought Marcus was great tonight personally. Still really like his voice and thought he did manage to emote quite well tonight. Though I like others in the competition, Marcus is still my favourite.

Might've been the song choice, personally I thought he sang it well but Russian Roulette by Rihanna isn't the first song you think of for him. I mentioned this in another thread, but I reckon he ought to do some more soulful songs, since he's pulled them off very well whenever he's done them.

Not only is this song only a year old (and brilliant imo) but I can imagine Marcus so easily nailing this. If ever the producers want Marcus to shine one week (and I hope to God they do) they need to be notified of this track. Trust me.
