Not that I would ever want Marcus in the bottom 2 but I am pretty sure he would be saved against any of the acts (other than maybe Little Mix). The producers/itv will not want an all female final. (In fact a bottom 2 may be a safety net for that very reason).

I don't think it's certain next week, RandomPoster.
I still believe that they only decided to have a sing-off at the last minute during the Top 5 results last year solely to ensure that Mary would get booted out instead of Cher since Mary actually had a shot at winning while Cher was seriously struggling in the votes. This year, there's no situation similar. Maybe they want Misha in the final (not as much as they wanted Cher there though) but I doubt they would want to sabotage anyone else since each contestant left could be a credible winner. |

I think whatever happens next week Kelly is going to lose a girl.
I cant seem them wanting Tulisa or Gary actless before the semi final in their first years |

Just a thought but I think 'Forget You' would be perfect for Marcus. It fits his retro style but is also quite current. In fact it seems so perfect for him I am questioning whether he has actually sung it before lol

They wanted to do motown/RnB on week 3 then it was changed during the week to rock, i wonder why. Maybe someone sounded so good they wanted to save that to later stage of the competicion, and seeing the exitement around Marcus' song i have a feeling he's the one with the super good song
On xtra factor if i understand right, he said the ballad will be an old one, so i think it will be a motown ballad and probably 2 themes so the other song an uptempo and Marcus said he hopes that will be something different. Oh i'm so exited! |

It was probably changed to rock week to try and give Frankie some sort of a lifeline...
Motown week should suit Marcus - hopefully there are 2 themes though

I thought Marcus looked genuinely gutted that Craig left last night but then got the shock of my life* when Craig threw his support behind Little Mix.

But oh well he shouldn't have to want Marcus to win just because they are in the same category and friends. |

![]() Anyway, this is nice.. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz....html#comments and I noticed on the Xtra Factor Little Mix were asked if they could have any of the contestants join Little Mix who would it be and they all said Marcus!!! Another reason to love the girls!! |

I'm hopeing for a Little Mix/ Marcus top 2
I'mf finding difficult to warm to any of Kelly's girls tbh Janet constantly looks miserable and has had a wow performance Misha is an excellent singer but lacks any form of warmth or connectivity Amelia, I liked her and pegged her as the winner, but barring the comeback song she has had 2 dodgy song choices and always seems hard faced. Marcus and Little Mix all the way |

I hope it is a Little Mix/Marcus top 2 with Amelia third place.
I hope two of Kelly's girls are eliminated these next two weeks. Can't believe Kelly is still in with a chance of getting all her girls to the final. That won't happen though - I hope! ![]() So it's Motown week this week. Right up Marcus' street. I'm hoping for 'I'm Gonna Make You Love Me' personally. |

Really excited for this week's performance - Motown week should suit Marcus to a tee. Hope they have a killer song for him!
Is this week two songs each? I'm assuming it is? Edit: I've seen elsewhere that it is two songs. |

Yes it is two songs each.
It does seem like the bottom two is back this week. I think Amelia will get the rebound vote this week and I don't think Janet is going anywhere anytime soon.So it is down to Marcus, Little Mix and Misha to be bottom two. Surely Marcus will be safe this week more than ever? Well it's nowhere near certain but I would have thought the Liverpool/teenage girl/attractive/middle-aged/gay/mum/nan votes would go to Marcus. But I can't see Little Mix touching the bottom 2. We just all have to keep voting guys. Not long to go now until the end of XF8.

![]() With two good performances he'll hopefully escape the bottom two. Why they can't just have a bottom elimination I don't know. ![]() Jeff Brazier said on This Morning he's heard Janet is topping the vote. Strange he's been allowed to divulge that - is it to make people think she's safe and not vote ![]() Anyway looking forward to both Marcus' performances

I think the bottom 2 is going to be interesting this week (if there is one) it hardly seems fair tbh.
Misha is a cert IMO Amelia may get a rebound vote... but with Little Mix improving and getting more popular they could eat into her fanbase. Plus she hasn't had the time to really build up her fanbase properly. I worry for Marcus - but I cant see them wanting Gary actless, there being no males left and for Kelly to have 3 acts out of 4! |
