A Put Down Too Far!
Was anyone else disgusted by the way the Irish lady was treated on Saturday. She didn't get thru which was fair enough but to get her to come back for a date with Louis Walsh was really awful. Why he couldn;t just say he was busy or go I don't know. I went off the guy big time in Popstars the Rivals but on Saturday he went further down in my estimations. He should remember to be nice to people he meets at the top because he might need them when he goes down. Seriously I am struggling to take this show on board, its like I've seen it all before and am bored with the predictability of it. I am unusual I think in that I don;t like Sharon Osbourne in it. She's very inconsistent and seems to struggle with anyone who isn;t Rock. Seriously I would find it hard to take criticism from someone who thinks Kelly has talent. I saw her with Robbie and she was dire and is known to bitch about other singers (Robbie as a star can get away with it, just) but coming from someone totally useless is unbelieveable. Rant over.

Personally I think Simon Cowell should have taken her out instead. That would have increased his popularity by god-knows-how-much.
I don' think Louis Walsh is any good as a judge. He seems to do bugger all apart from yes or no. Alex |

I also thought that Sharons comment about the twins with 'noses like pickaxes' was extremely out of order.
Fair enough commenting on the way that someone dresses etc, but to comment on a physical attribute, that the person is not in control of (barring plastic surgery) is not on, in my opinion. It's little comments like that, that tend to really affect people and damage them. Imagine how those girls felt watching that programme back on Saturday. Maybe Sharon should remember that not everyone has the option of having as much surgery as they want like she does. I seem to remember that she even had her stomach stapled or something along those lines to help her obesity problem didn't she? I have to say that I also find it hard to respect someone with a daughter like Kelly Osbourne. Hardly a good representation of talent there. Oh, and why was Simon Cowell so keen to go along with Louis to let the woman down. Loius came across incredibly badly in that programme. |

I don't think that woman seriously thought Louis would be taking her out, she had her dog with her and was wearing flip flops - suitable attire for a drive in McDonalds, but not many other places. I reckon it was a put up job from the beginning.

I think if it had been a put up job they'd have made sure she dressed the part so that it didn't look like a put up job if you see what I mean. I felt so sorry for her sitting there with her little dog. Louis Walsh proved himself to be a complete prat in Popstars The Rivals, he sank to new levels on this show. It's not as if women are going to be queueing up to go out with him, he should be grateful for any offers he can get. |

I'm really not rating any of the judges. I'm not sure they could tell their arse from their elbow let alone spot talent that could actually have a long-lasting music career that goes beyond one or two singles |

I agree with lots of the comments. Is it me , or were put downs in previous competitions cruel, but not personal?!! It would be fun to comment in detail on each of the oh so very perfect judges ( without them exerting their 'power' and shouting down the person commenting ) - a few home truths. At least a majority of those auditioning are not high on drink or drugs Sharon.............

Poor woman - gawd...Louis Walsh as well....poor sod. Imagine having to go on a date with him? Can't stand the man...never could. Sometimes I can't get over the cruelty of the TV producers in shows like this. Kate Thornton is also a two-faced witch. I find her horrible and insincere with the contestants. Nasty. Nasty. Bring back Davina McColl. Give me Simon and Sharon anyday....at least what you see is what you get. |

Doesn't anyone feel this was a "set-up" - scripted and shown with her approval, as she was part of it? That was my feeling anyway, it was done purely for the comedy, I'm sure the tv wouldn't be that cruel, she would have had to give permission to show it surely?

They've obviously taken a leaf out of Fame Academy's book. |
