New Metallica song (Lou Reed collaboration)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LWtb621DRg
Totally, totally bizarre. Unlike anything either artist has done before. I like the chorus, and the thrash-esque ending, but the verses are atrocious. What is the appeal of Lou Reed, the man cannot sing to save his life, so why does he even try?! |

No replies, seriously?! This track has really been dividing people, thought there would have been some debate on here by now.

Massive Metallica fan - but I hate this. Almost as bad as Invisible Kid. Picks up when Lou Reed disappears - I'm sure some cunning soul will get round to editing him out of the mix at some point! Will be bearable then - though Hetfield going round shouting about being a table is pretty laughable too!

Listening to the new album - very, very different for Metallica, but actually if you can tune out Reed, which I've managed to do, the album isn't AS BAD as I thought it would be. Mistress Dread recalls Disposable Heroes! Still, while waiting for their new album, this side project is better than nothing!

This is a really bizarre collaboration. I don't dislike Lou Reed and am a fan of The Velvet Underground, but he sounds completely out-of-place on a Metallica song, and not a particularly impressive Metallica song at that. God only knows what made them think this album would be a good idea.
