Hi all.
Firstly, I am aware that a new Kindle is on it's way - but I'd like to gauge a few opinions before making a decision on which device I potentially could purchase.
I am a university student, and the current Kindle (version 3, afaik) attracts me. I was thinking that I could use the Kindle to convert my notes and slides from class and store them on the Kindle.
Question: has anyone had any experience with converting powerpoint slides (including images), to make it viewable on the Kindle screen?
After a quick search, all the recommended reading textbooks for my course are available as Kindle ebooks...
Question: what are textbooks like on the Kindle especially ones which might have diagrams, etc in them like displayed on the Kindle?
At this stage I do realise that this new tablet might be more suited to my needs (we'll have to wait to Wednesday) but, I like the idea of the current Kindle being very easy going on your eyes, especially when I will also be using the Kindle to simply read my book in the evenings too!!!
Any advice and tips anyone has would be great, and many thanks in advance.

The Kindle is a replacement for a book, that's a it.
