We suspect someone has a tracker on a friends phone. They have had access to the phone (samsung galaxy s2) as they bought her it and set it all up ready for her to use, but they slipped up in a conversation about an unrecieved text message saying the last time I got a message from her phone was 12am and we realised thats what time she had arrived home that night but she had'nt sent him a message

Is there any way to check on her phone if there is a tracker set up on her phone?.

We know when he bought her the phone he told her there was a location tracker for if it is stolen, but he should'nt be getting messages to his phone telling him her location should he.

Hi there

This website should help you out;-

http://www.samsung.com/uk/mobile/fea...e-tracker.html

I would disable tracking and see what happens. Also check in applications to see if there are any tracking apps installed.

You could use the page below to cross reference. If there are, uninstall them.

Its actually really scarey what you can buy to spy on someone via their phone!.

He told her to leave the tracker on incase it is lost or stolen but we'll see when she gets in, will be interesting to look in the apps . Thanks

All we found that she did'nt know what it was was something called 'anonymous email' which had his nickname on it and something which shows as 'com.sec.android.app.samsung ver 2.0.11' had a look online to see what these are but not sure if they supposed to be on the phone or not

Google Latitude is pre-installed isn't it? Comes with Google Maps and can be set to automatically share location. Google email you every month to remind you its on though I think.

Not sure about anonymous email, that sounds a bit strange. com.sec.etcetera looks like it's part of the default software, or intended to appear to be. Could always just factory reset to remove any lingering concerns....
