Perhaps making a play for favourable conditions in the 4G auction when it finally does come...they've been laying it on thick as of late in terms of other networks being allowed to refarm spectrum.
And rightly so in a way, they have been completely done over by ofcom allowing other networks to refarm while repeatedly pushing back the 4G auction. |

its not like 3 network is all that. I have a iphone 4 on three and its rubbish compared to my mates iphone 4 on 02 and eveb my brothers iphone on vodafone..

It's 3's strategy to attract customers with unlimited cheap data regardless if they have capacity as their argument is they want a guarantee of additional spectrum to sell in the future.
If I were in the market for a smartphone I would be taking 3's CEO scaremongering seriously and considering other providers who might charge a little more but have not made such ominous predictions about their near future performance. |

Reverse logic is that we are now getting a low quality of service because of all the unlimited offers.
