I love Ronnie with or without Jack so I don’t mind Jack and Ronnie as a couple at all. There have been lots of periods of times when I have really loved them together and thought they were the best couple.
I know the whole thing of fathering children with Ronnie’s sister and cousin tainted them as a couple a lot, but I don’t mind them. I am probably in the minority but I think they have very good chemistry. I find it endearing that even after the whole baby swap nonsense Jack can not forget Ronnie or move on from her.
It is quite possible that Ronnie's exit will be related to Jack, going off to be with him. Part of me feels that it would be nice to think of Ronnie having some sort of happy ending, if you can call it that, but part of me also feels that it is a cop out.
Also it does limit Ronnie coming back if Sam decides to extend her contract, as they either have to bring Jack back too, or she will return with a back story where she and Jack would have split up yet again. :yawn:
B.K was a disaster for them. I am still so annoyed that under his watch Jack was revealed to be Sam’s Mitchell’s baby’s father and for no reason at all, no drama and no impact.
Ignoring Richard for a minute, (assuming that didn’t happen) I would have been interested for example to see Jack and Ronnie get married, no baby, but bring Penny back instead. Have Penny at logger heads with Ronnie, and Jack stuck in the middle. They could have easily explored Jack’s past, bring back that criminal that Jack helped to sent to prison who was responsible for Penny’s accident etc. Put Ronnie in danger too etc.
