EE hasn't recovered until I see an episode that makes me laugh through comedy rather than the lacklustre acting skills.

Eastenders has finally worked it out:

Bring Back Den = ratings
Bring back Peggy = ratings

How long before they resurrect Arfur, Pete Beale, or move the Tavineers back. Hey, why not get Sanjay and Gitaaaa in on the act too

I think Peggy should have been written out so they can move on, are we regressing backwards? Other soaps don't rely on the back catalogue of actors/actresses to bring the viewers in, they have this unique idea:

NEW CHARACTER - def. Something the viewer has never seen before. Not like the dodgy Miller family, a close replica of the Slaters all those years ago, not like Dirty Den coming back but a real live new, never seen before person.

bull. People might just watch causethey have nothing else to do.

I know, if it goes on like this, we'll have the entire cast of 1985 back. EE needs to move on and do this with new characters rather than old. If Peggy's the type of character they want (why I don't know), then create a new Peggy, large as life, twice as loud. Don't keep running back to old characters that people liked to make the show better. Corrie brought back Bet and that didn't work, and so she was only there a short time, and Corrie learnt that it didn't work. The problem with EE is that they don't like admitting that they made a mistake until it's gone on far too long - Den & the ferreiras. Bringing back old characters rarely works in any soap, so EE should try to build on the characters they have now, not the characters they had in the past.

End of rant.

I like Peggy and most viewers like her and one thing is for sure they will not axe her in a million years.

Alot of people did like her you're right. As a lot of people lied Den. It is all and good bringing them back, but with no storylines to work with they might as stay at home while being paid by the BBC!

I hope I am wrong, but I can only see Peggy working as the head of a family, with no family there I can only see lack of success as she comes back

Elsewhere in the schedule, the BBC's flagship soap EastEnders seemed to be back in the groove with 10.8 million viewers - a 52% share.

Wow!! Bring back Arfur and Pete Beale as undead zombies ! Great idea ......

Apparently we have Kaffy Beale coming back into the soap soon, as Ian Beale is revealed as Den Watt's son - and Kaff comes back to sort ahhhhhhht the whole situation.

Is there a child in Walford that Den Watts HASNT fathered??

They need a serious cull in EE to get rid of the crap actors/chaff, in order to bring in new blood.

I suggest Billy Mitchell, Fat Pat, Vicki Fowler, Spencer Moon and Sharon tango face to go.

Billy and Spencer could have an affair and go off into the sunset in the back of a black cab.

Pat could be mistaken, in one of her animal print coats, for an overweight leopard escaped from the safari park, and get shot.

Sharon could get peroxide poisoning from those Miss Piggy hair extensions.

Vicki could fall under a car/ taxi/bus/train - I dont care which, just kill her.
