Recently I discovered some Japanese songs that sound surprisingly good. I don’t know Japanese. However, I enjoy the music and don’t bother to find out what the lyrics mean. Here is the link for the five songs.

Do you know any songs that are similar to those I newly enjoy? It doesn’t matter what the languages are. Please advise the singer and the song name for checking. Welcome to post YouTube video for quick reference. Thanks!

I tried two of his songs, "Et moi,et moi,et moi", "Il Est Cinq Heures, Paris S'éveille". Sound nice.

Enjoy all the songs very much. I find the music of the 4th one most appealing.

On the Top of my head:

- Mylene Farmer (Try Desenchantee, **** Them All, Libertine or L'Ame-Stram-Gram)
- Alizee (Lolita, Les Collines & maybe Mademoiselle Juliette from her Psychedelices album)
- Etienne Daho (Jungle Pulse, Rendez-Vous a Vedra, Epaule Tatoo, Weekends A Rome)
- Laura Pausini (Can't remember the titles though)
- Shakira (La Tortura)

There have been foreign songs that sold well in this country

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KMVtuURwjY
This was recorded by EMI in Hong Kong in 1940, it was issued here on Columbia around 1950 after EMI found it was popular with returning ex-servicemen. The only chinese language record ever officially released here.

This by Charles Trenet also sold well here

La Mer (1946)

One not released here, this song from Spain by Luz Casal is much more recent and I think it's superb

with english subtitles

Funnily enough I have the very thing that I just happened to post in another thread earlier today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QnXgPB35w8

But being into Opera many of the "songs" I like are in other languages, mainly Italian, French and German...

Mylene Farmer has a very beautiful voice.
For Laura Pausini, I tried two songs, It's Not Goodbye and La Solitudine. Nice singing.

I enjoy La Mer the most because it offers the largest room for my imagination.

I love Beyoncé in Spanish, Si Yo Fuero un Chico and Oyé are my favourites (If I Were a Boy and Listen)

I think she's done a few more though, also J.Lo has some tracks in Spanish, as does Christina.
