Hi, does anyone know if there is there a way of stopping the screen timing out when the phone is charging, i.e the screen/back-light stay on permanently.

I'm sure I saw a setting somewhere when I first set up the phone, but I've searched the instructions and the settings on the phone itself and just can't find it.

I've tried the obvious places like Settings-->sound and display-->screen timeout, however I just can't see the any setting to do what I require. I've looked through all the other settings and can't see it

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Why would you want to do this? Surely the phone would charge slower if it has to keep the screen powered on when charging?

It's for in car use. I have a internet radio app. Just so I can keep an eye on signal (3g/2g) etc.

I had a custom rom on my San Francisco, so I'm not sure if this option is there on all roms, but it's Settings > Applications > Development > Stay Awake.

Thanks Dan. That worked.

Was beginning to think I'd dreamt about seeing the setting.
