According to a certain newspaper!

Dirty Den is set to return to his old patch - The Queen Vic
by the end of the year, He'll of booted out Alfie Moon, and taken over as landlord!

thus plunging the hapless landlord (Alfie) into further despair! since his wife walked out on him!

---------------------

personally I think it is a very bad move to put Den back behind the Queen Vic, he's had his time there!

Peggy gets it back though she said in an interview she could not wait to get back behind the bar of the vic when she returns.

It seems as though they are getting desperate for plots, these days!

I was going to post this! I couldn't believe it!

"The believe viewers will be thrilled to see a battle between Albert Square's leading men"....um no we wouldn't! I don't know about anyone else but I am getting dog tired of all this rivalry EE thrives on. Den is not a leading man anymore, especially as most of the EE fans would not be old enough to remember what he was like before (myself included).

Bad move....means more screen time for Den (god please!) and more gangster shite to put up with!

Plus....they are saying that Alfie and Kat run the Vic...yeah they run it, they don't own it! It will be just another Watts vs Mitchell storyline again! Not Alfie vs Den!

Noooooooooo! They can't get rid of Alfie as the manager. Den just won't be as good as he was in the 80s. Am confused - does this mean that Den somehow gets it from Andy. But with Peggy coming back permanently next year surely Den behind the bar will only be temporary.

den behind the bar temporarily is bad enough, in fact, den anywhere in walford fills me with dread - this shambolic return is worse than the much-heralded return of Julie Goodyear as Bet in Corrie!

Kalfie only run the Vic, Peggy is still landlady. Maybe when Andy takes over the Mitchell empire, he sells the Vic to Den, leaving Sam devestated and leading to the return of an irate Peggy and PHil

If Den was as good as he used to be it would have been great to see him behind the bar of The Vic. However as he has shown recently he is not a patch on his former self so I dont think him taking over at the Vic is a good idea at all

Well I would be very pleased if Barbara Windsor took over behind the bar again.

if den takes over the queen vic again this will be a huge mistake, we dont want old easenders they have to realise this, peggy is the real landlady and needs to be back behind that bar.

giving den even more screen time is just an absolute disgrace, he has more than he should already. i personally cant stand him at all.

Never mind about taking over the Queen Vic, he needs to get those mega bags under his eyes sorted out !! He is starting to look like a bloodhound.
If this story is right, its stupid. Den no longer has "it" anymore and putting him back in the Vic oozes desperation.

Ive just thought who Den Watts reminds me of .... thinning hair, wrinkly baggy face, clothes that are crap and too big for his gangly body, seedy as hell ........ yep Den is turning into Rigsby from Rising Damp

Yeah, I think this could be true as its been stated somewhere that Andy sides with the Watts' eventually.

Look we all know that Andy is out to take down the Mitchells, he has no interest in a pub like the Queen Vic. He is more interested in conning the Mitchells out of their businesses, most notably the Queen Vic their pride and joy and the centre of Walford. Whoever runs the Queen Vic is always deemed as the King or Queen of Walford. And what a better way to further rub their noses in it, by selling it back to the family who Sam tried single handedly to destroy by burning their club to the ground!

I would like to see Den and Chrissie run the Queen Vic myself. Or it could be like a PeggyFrank/Dan Sullivan deal. Andy sells half of the Vic to Den and Peggy keeps the other half. Now Den and Peggy running the Vic! can you imagine the fireworks! I think its a great move personally, would like to see Den back running the Vic for a while.

I want to see things shaken up in Walford, ok so Den ran the Vic years ago, so what, putting him back there is surely a ratings winner for the show, love him or hate him. And I want Alfie out from behind that bar as I think his reign over the Queen Vic has run its course, and as his relationship with Kat enters a new and albeit stormy phase, I think the Moons need to be shifted and a new era began for them elsewhere in Walford.

Why are we all chatting about gangsta wars?! Wasn't the spoiler that Den would get the Vic from Alife? How is that gangsta wars? Lol funny to see everyone go off on one though.

Peggy to run the Vic! Actually, I agree with Will, I can imagine that some REAL humour would be possible if Den 'The Bloodhound' and Peggy became a sort of duo running the bar. LOL its gonna be a sort of Pauline/Den relationship... eg:
"You old has-been!" - Peggy
"At least I aint a wrinkled loud-mouth cow!" - Den

Lol... Batman and Robin(a) of the Vic!

i dont see how this could happen, even if andy did get the vic, peggy still owns half of it, and i dont think they would go down the road of den and peggy owning it. it wouldnt be right.

Oh will ye stop being so serious the lot of ye! god! chocopop is right, there would be some serious entertainment in a Mitchell/Watts regime at the Vic, with Den and Peggy at loggerheads, comedy and some drama, I think it would be great.

Exactleh! Sheesh... the minute ANYTHING is said its "BAD MOVE EE!" and "We don't want Den behind the bar blah blah blah"
LB can hardly just randomly kill him off one episode, can she?! And she cant just immediately pretend he doesnt exsist and stop using/mentioning him just because some of us hate him. LeslieG gets paid alot (the highest of the whole cast) so he can't be under-used.

Besides, me and Will cant be the only people able to see that Den and Peggy behind the bar would be hilarious?

The spoiler says "Aflie and Den go to war"...

Maybe they'll have best bartender competitions? Or who-can-leap-over-the-bar-best contests?! LOL that would be so funny... Reckon Den can still jump it? lmao

Ooh I'd love to see him try, enjoyed watching Alfie trying and failing when Den showed up last year lol
