I don't think he would have been capable of jiving for the time required, and the cannon curtailed his dancing time most effectively. I wondered why there was little criticism of the "faffing about" but the judges probably don't want to elevate him to martyr status and he was at least in the right place on the leaderboard.

The producers don't choreograph the dance but I think Flavia must be running out of ideas now and you can't blame her.

It must be hard to choreograph ANYTHING around a giant cannon! She seemed to be expected to perform miracles around these huge props (bull/cannon) and still try and include content from whichever dance they were supposed to be doing.

Loving Dear Russell dancing to the roar of the Wembley 6,000 crowd dressed as Ringo.

Dear Russell you've left us all in tears, but we will always have Wembley.

Your Strictly Star will shine high and bright and be in our hearts for all iternity, the show must go on, but it will never be the same without you.

Dear Russell, thanks for all the Fabulous memories x

I'm not in tears: please don't speak for everyone. Right result tonight as far as I'm concerned: not before time. I'll concede that his exit was gracious, he thanked Flavia nicely and he appeared to be popular with the other celebs.

I can't wait to hear Dear Russell on the radio 2 talking about Strictly with the fragrant Flavia.

I love it! "Russell Come Dancing"

"'Strictly Come Dancing': Russell Grant Given A Radio 2 Show With Dance Partner Flavia Cacace "

"The pair will "relive their favourite musical moments" from the BBC1 show, play music that they would have liked to have taken to the stage to, tell anecdotes from their time on the programme and speak to others in the series."

I do not have a problem with Russell having entertained so many people although he has left at exactly the correct moment in time allowing his failure to move beyond basic dance steps/movement

I would appreciate the Russell fan club appreciating us the non entertained by Russell group
He never made me laugh or rush to my seat to see his next repeating of the same moves to different music

Appeared a reasonable human being

What a fabulous hilarious surprise having Dear Russell crop up on ITT tonight with the Jason merchandise, it makes you realize what we are missing on Strictly, and how boring it has become without Dear Russell on the show.

Russell only came on to bore the viewing audience, his appearance was a waste of time.

The Russell and Flavia partnership STILL seems to be going strong I reckon the BBC must have had lots of messages about these two as apparently the offers are still pouring in for them!

They are dancing in the New Year's Day Parade in London!

It was lovely to see dear Russell receiving the award and a small glitter ball trophy for the biggest Strictly entrance of this series on ITT tonight. Russell being fired from a Cannon at Wembly Arena was one of the highlights of this series for me.

Yes!

There's so much of Russell's contribution to talk about, sadly not a lot of it has had anything to do with dance, but he was entertaining.

I don't think it was Russell's choice to go down the entertainment route and be fired out of a cannon, that decision was made for him. I am sure Russell would have much preferred to concentrate on the dancing, he did have natural talent.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Dear Russell dropping in as the Christmas Fairy is definitely going to be a highlight of the Strictly Christmas Day Show.

"Good heavens! Who’s the Strictly fairy? Russell Grant dons his tutu to surprise judges"

Dear Russell was the star of the show again on Strictly Come Dancing when he won the Strictly 'Peoples Champion' Challenge against Anne Widdecombe raising millions of pounds for Children In Need to help disadvantaged children across the UK.

Now today in a few minutes time he is going to be the star of the show on Loose Women, I can't wait.
