Upstairs? The place they go to vanish for months and come down from with a tan as if they've always been around.

Wow a new part :O Never thought I'd see the day lol.
I agree about Sian though. It's ridiculous that she can live at the Websters and hardly be seen and then she just packs off on holiday when it suits the writers.

I don't think the writer know what to do with her, she was never intergrated into the street. I think it will be a good thing that they are perhapse getting Amber/Sophie together as they as a couple will probably have more to do than Sophie/Sian since Amber is an actual character and not a plot device.

They have only themselves to blame for that though.

Thing is.. its not like its only Sian that dissapears though. How long was Rosie "upstairs" for? lol

It was Helen's decision to take 3 months off though. Thing is, Sacha seems a very motivated person. I'm convinced that she was sick of barely being in the soap and that was her main decision to leave. I doubt she'd go if Sian was in it as much as Steve or Peter Barlow are.

I am aware of the fact it was Helens own choice. My point was just that there are other characters that dissapear too.

Agree about Sasha though.

Sacha's mum on twitter all but admitted she left because she wasn't getting enough to do. And once Sophie dumped her, she would have had nothing to do. It was a smart decision in some ways her leaving, if she was bored. Of course I am also convinced she would have been axed in the early new year anyway. There is just no place for Sian on Corrie if her and Sophie are over.

Jagged as for there not being spoilers for the picture:

Girls got ambition, clearly, so I don't blame her for wanting to leave. I guess some would be happy only having limited amount of work. However, the reason there is no place for her without Sophie, is still about the writers not builing her a place.

It's not really the writers fault when they are working with the restraints of her character. What could they have done to make Sian part of the street? they couldn't bring her parents into it, there aren't many characters her age on the street for her to form big friendships with. And she's too young/at college so can't work in any of the business'. The truth is Sian was brought in for a specific reason, her character was only built for that reason, they wrote her into a corner from day one, and they couldn't get her out of it then. In all honesty it's surprising they've kept Sian around this long, purely love interests don't normally last this amount of time. She was never made to be a longterm character, outside of Sophie she has always been two dimensional. A nice character but not a intregal part of the show, she's JUST Sophie's girlfriend.

Well, if it was the only intention of Sian, to be Sophies girlfriend, then fair game. I just believe they could have done more if they wanted. But maybe I am coloured by the fact that I like Sian as a character.

Well I am looking forward to the storyline because I really like Amber's character. I think it will be good.

The Sun obviously got two different night outs mixed up. I did think it all sounded too much in one go lol. Half happens on thursday, and I bet the other half happens once Sian is out of the way on holiday. The question is, what else happens while Sian is away? more than one passionate kiss? or even furthur than that? If Sophie is proposing out of guilt, you'd think more than one kiss happens. It has to be words included at least to kick off that much guilt.

It doens't necessarily have to be physical. I mean, if they share a passionate kiss, Sophie obvious feels something if she ends up chosing Amber. Maybe its an attraction that grows over time, without anything happening? I would prefer that to be honest, lol.

Thats is why we see it so differently. Clearly, right now, I am in the minority in here, but I just don't care for her or the way this is being done. There nothing anyone can do, which is why I honestly try to let it go.

But it isn't just an attraction, Sophie will be in love with Amber. And it's described as cheating. You can't get all that from a kiss, Sophie won't fall in love from a kiss, and nothing more. Sorry, I want a full-on affair or this storyline is pointless and a cop out by PC. We haven't had a lesbian affair for years in soaps, treat the lesbians like everyone else. And anyone else would have a full-on affair. Sophie dumping Sian because she loves Amber from afar is

Also a emotional affair has been done this year with Carla/Peter, that won't happen twice

I know right, the Sophie/Sian want it to be just a kiss but that seems unlikely considering how they are talking about the story. It wouldn't wash with any other couple having an affair but then again Sophie is only 17 and to an extent I think its considered cheating to kiss someone else when you are 17, so it doesn't need to be more than a kiss to be cheating but I think it will be anyway.

It does have to be more for the media.

I have no idea how graphic the scenes will be. I just think more than a couple of kisses have to happen or the whole thing will be boring. Why would Sophie spend two months agonising over a kiss? It doesn't seem like good tv.

I wouldn't know, I don't watch any other soad, lol. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I never said it would only be an attraction, but maybe I didn't explain myself correctly. I meant it starts out that way until she realises she is in love with her promting her to leave Sian.

At the end of the day, you like the storyline, I am not impressed and we are not going to agree. I couldn't care less wether they shack up or not. My only hope is that it plays out in a way where I can believe it. And so far, from the spoilers, that aint going to happen.

You're a massive Siophie fan, theres no way you'd ever enjoy Sophie cheating on Sian

I am far and away more a Sophie fan than I ever was a Siophie fan, and they have bored me this year. I am ready for Sophie to get some good drama, and some actual romance. I can't wait for this storyline, but I don't want Corrie to do a cop out, and have the lesbians drama be tame because they're lesbians. Anyone else would have a full blown affair for this storyline to make sense. Sophie shouldn't be any different to the straight characters. Even Sean had a full blown affair with Sunny when he was in the triangle with Michelle. Don't let Sian leave on a whimper, make this storyline actually worth a dramatic exit. That needs more than a couple of kisses.
