The only thing that is worrying me is that I'm getting a Shayne Ward vibe over this whole fiasco, I really hope they aren't just delaying her album only to doom her career early next year. Maybe that's too pessemistic and I can't really imagine Simon doing that to Leona, but who knows....

I don't think we should worry about that. First, it's hard to imagine he would do that and second, she would be picked up by other major label right away if that happens.

What about performing Collide (Afrojack remix) on US xfactor with Afrojack (much prettier than avicii).

They could make it spectacular!

We're bound to worry as Syco don't have the best track record. I'm sure you are aware of the similarities and I don't want to dwell on those.

But there are significant differences imo. Shayne's third album didn't have anything like the same lead in as Glassheart and he wasn't being used to promote the X Factor as Leona was in Japan. If they wanted to do the same, they could just release Glassheart now and risk it under-performing.

Leona is still much higher profile than Shayne was when they released Obsession.

Nothing's ever certain, but while Leona is performing like she did on Friday, there's plenty to look forward to.

I think Run could work on USA XF - they just haven't seen it in all its glory - I don't know about UK XF - I would still tease a new track from the album to reignite the interest, even if the track is not available to download.

Saz, she will never follow Shayne Ward into obscurity. Leona gives The X Factor the only credibility it has in the music industry. There has been no other worldwide star launched from the show. Once Leona begins to flop and releases a cover single (a Nickelback one!) as a lead single, Simon and Syco will be in the s**t - and they know it.

I'm not tooworried about the long-term future of Leona's career, as I know she is a talent that will never dissappear into obscurity. It's just that Syco are treating her career in a similar manner to how they treated Shayne's towards the end.

I normally hate the fringe but I actually liked it with the dress and makeup, which I both loved. Her eyes looked amazing.

I would love that! I think the Afrojack version would be the right one to perform because I'm petty sure that's the remix that's been getting played in the clubs. I think it should either be that or Run, unless she does release a new song which is highly unlikely.

I think they should just bury 'Collide' and give it a nice memorial service now.

The label need to move forward with the album campaign and treat 'Collide' as an isolated summer release, nothing more nothing less.

Hopefully the album will have a good mix of ballads and up-tempos. Maybe the reason for the pushback was so Leona can record more ballads for the album so it's not up-tempo-heavy.

I'd want the tracklist to go something like this:

1. GlassHeart (up-tempo)
2. mid-tempo
3. Trouble (up-tempo?)
4. Fire Flies (mid-tempo?)
5. Blank Page (ballad)
6. mid-tempo
7. up-tempo

This would mean:

Btw, I know many people have different ideas of what "mid-tempo" means so in terms of Katy Perry's recent album I'd say:

Up-tempos: 'California Gurls', 'Teenage Dream', 'Firework'
Mid-tempos: 'E.T.', 'Last Friday Night', 'The One That Got Away'
Ballads: 'Pearl', 'Not Like The Movies'

I agree with this Saz....far too much talent and too well known to disappear off the radar forever. I think it's generally accepted on most of the forums etc that I visit, that even if they think she's 'boring' etc, there's no question of her vocal ability (how could there be...even the anti's have got ears after all ) ....it's just the quality of the material she's being given, that causes the most discussion, this - plus the way she's being handled by her management.

If she was to be signed up by a label that knew their stuff, and how to market her properly, she'd become the star we all know she deserves to be!!

She tweeted a while ago (just before the delay announcement I believe?) that she was unhappy with something. I can't remember it word for word but that's the impression I got. At least this fierce Leona will stand up to Simon where the music's concerned (she already has before by the sounds of it ).

If she has no new material out before Xmas, then she just HAS to perform Run on US X Factor.

No other option makes any sense. In particular, performing BL would be a disaster and just Chesney Hawkes her over there.

I remember when FM was out and she was going to be on X Factor for the Spirit Deluxe release. We said at the time that she should do Run instead of FM and the choice was spot on, most people I know list that as the best performance on X Factor ever; and I agree.

Run on US X Factor would go down a storm and they've also not been exposed to Run (or the original really for that matter) so would be the perfect set up for Glassheart in 2012.

I agree about Leona should do Run on the US X-Factor. It's such an amazing live performance everytime she performs it.

What I think they should do now is release Trouble/Glassheart/whatever to radio last week of November and then she should perform it on the XF final (which would be mid December?). Hopefully that means if radio airplay isn't doing that well it should help it but then I think she should release the actual song around the 1st/2nd week of January. (not much competition around that time as well hopefully)

Then they could release the next single to radio mid-February and release the single on the 19th March. Hopefully 3 singles after as well with the final single being performed on XF next year (around October time).

Basically a fresh start.

Run does have so much uearthed potential in the US! I think Run and bleeding love are at the same level in terms of calibre and quality but they are both already available on the Deluxe ediiton of Spirit in the U.S. So I think they missed that opportunity already to promote it.She's released an entire new album since Run, so Id rather they keep moving forward.. even though my absolute favourite Leona song is Run....followed by Stay

IMHO, I think they should keep any new appearances dedicated to her new album. She has grown and developed as an artist and I would love for the rest of the world to see that

'Run' is not and will never be released in America!

I can see 'Collide' being performed on the XFactor on bothaide of the Atlantic and then maybe even a UK final performance of 'Trouble' or 'Glassheart'.

I think Run PLUS another song would be a good idea for the US X Factor.

Doing Collide would be a waste of time, especially over here.

I think it would be quite strange to perform Run on the US x factor. It would be like performing a new song then not releasing it. Run is not a new release so no point in promoting it and is not a known Leona song in the US so again, no point in promoting it.

Leona will either perform Collide, although I doubt Simon will allow that due to it's performance in UK.

So next option is bleeding love. Like I've said before, Leona will have nothing to promote in the US now so she won't be able to use the US X factor slot as a promo opportunity. Instead, it will be a case of demonstrating to the US audience that someone discovered on X factor is capable of a hit. Even though said hit was many many years ago.
