I may not get most girl bands or divas for example but just because I personally dont understand the appeal doesn't mean I therefore want to slag them off on forums. My Dad lives in Belfast and he didn't even know Matt had a new song out until I told him. He likes him but he doesn't follow him online.

Loved Matt's outing on Channel 4 The Crush, which is on 4onDemand if you missed it. It is on Youtube too. Nice little set with Matt pretending to do some songs in a pub. Any seconds of his beauitful voice are worth listening to.

Also I am considering BRMB Live tickets, though they are quite expensive given that Matt will only play about 3 songs. Can't go to any signings yet, as work full time and none of them, yet, are close enough. Went to the MK book signing of his book earlier in the year, so I have briefly met him. He was charming. Can't wait to hear the Itunes set from Monday. Hope I get the tickets from the newsletter prize draw from his website.

Hi just popping in to say I ordered my single from Amazon and although it hasn't come yet, I have had an email confirming that it has been shipped. Not that I can play it anyway, no CD player. I just wanted a CD version so I could hold something physical. Not sure why but it felt necessary. I'm waiting for the download from iTunes.

This is what I have said all along that a lot of Matts fans are not online so they need to understand that many of the people who voted for Matt won't be aware of his single or his album. Thats why I am purchasing copies for my family on line they want them but don't know where to get them and don't always have time to go to HMV>

Anyone who lives in Belfast will have seen/heard as much promo as anyone who lives in any other part of the UK...same radio stations and tv channels in Northern Ireland as you have. I do agree though, he really hasn't had that much exposure so unless (like us) you are looking for it you wouldn't know that much

Just passing through to say that I'm delighted that Starlight is being released before Xmas - I'm not bothered what track he released, there's so many to choose from, but after Xmas seems way too long to wait.
I have a dream.....(Martin Luther King voice).....that Matt will beat the next XF winner to No 1 at Xmas. (Dont really believe it because of the power of the show.)
But for me "real Matt" starts on Dec 5th.

To be honest, I don't listen to the radio much, I don't have radio on my phone and I don't drive (thats when I used to listen to radio when I was driving) but my dad has heard it ( he said horrible things )
So to be honest Im not the best person to ask about radio play.

One thing I will say though is.. who gets the X Factor on TV.. UK and Ireland. Thats two different charts.. he did his promo for UK but why not for Ireland. Its not Matt's fault.. whoever is in charge of promo and marketing messed up. He should have done some appearances over here, radio tours etc, because we have our charts too.

Yeah true. I just think they should have worked it with the UK in time for first single released. I mean to me it doesn't matter, no promo and I still have 4 album pre-orders but most people forget and it would have been amazing if they had organised promo in both UK and Ireland for number 1 in both charts.
Thats being said though, x factor tonight is going to be the major promo and Im pretty confident it will get to number one in both charts, promo or no promo !

I'm really excited about Starlight as the 2nd single... loved it straight away from the preview. My brother who only listens to dance music said it was catchy, and even my friend (who calls Matt the FP) liked it!
