who's to say he wouldn't be just as nervous on any live TV Show though .. he wouldn't have been that nervous at Koko as he wasn't performing to a live TV audience of millions and most of the people there paid for tickets so were fans anyway

I think everyone here on this thread feel that Matt's own songs are better than RFYL. I have grown to love RFYL but Matt's own music is very impressive Go to itunes and have a listen to the snippets that are available and let us know what you think

I think the album pre-orders underline something that we have felt all along - Matt is going to be an album's seller rather than single's, in the same mould as James Morrison, Snow Patrol et al. Columbia are probably aware of this and won't be too alarmed by RFYL being top 10 rather than #1. Albums and tours are where the money's at in the music industry - the single's market in comparison is small fry.

Not only would he be daft to turn it down, if the opportunity was there, but I think he would do it willingly. He loved the experience, he's said that numerous times and he was looking forward to going back and seeing old friends amongst the production staff.

A friend of mine went to the live shows last night and she said the crowd were going mad for Matt and she didn't notice that Matt made a mistake. All good then!

Me too OOTP. I have fought the good fight for Matt on the MF, particularly in bored moments during the drought. At times I have found it fun to joust with a few of the posters who are not Matt-fans, but can be reasonable and are not vitreolic. But this last month, I have become increasingly perturbed that by posting there, I am helping to fan the flames created by some seriously disturbing people. The community that is DS is actually rather small when you look at it and the views tend to be very non-representative of the majority of the GBP due their extremity, whether from uber-fans or haters. In my RL I never come across people who are so openly cruel about people they have never met and I don't want to keep coming across them in cyber-space either. Reality is, I no longer want to be part of that - so I will only be visiting the appreciation thread from now on.

yeah the main forum isn't representative of the real world, there are some serious discussions and some fun one's but a lot of pointless slagging off for slagging's sake or just to be clever (and that's not just slagging matt off, it's the nature of DS that some people just post to slagg off or argue .. it';s like a hobby .. lol) ... plus some of the people are the same posters using multiple identities which I find even stranger... lol
