What Would Be Your Plot For A Coronation Street Storyline
dalton007

My plot would be that Peter Barlow returns and Tracy tells him what has been happening and he goes to see Shelley and she runs out The Rovers and he chases her and Charlie asks Peter what he's doing and he says he is here to stay with Ken and Deirdre and Peter whacks Charlie and puts him in his car and drives him to the builders yard and drives off.

Dalton, I don't even understand it!

It's just a daft storyline where Peter returns and wants to know what's been happening since he went so Tracy tells him.

Of course not.

I was just posting one of my daft ideas for a storyline.

I'd put the whole street in an umbrella storyline where the whole cast is involved. It would also serve as a crossover with Emmerdale.

Wealthy property developer Matthew King (yes, the one from Emmerdale) arrives in Weatherfield intent on tearing down the houses on Coronation Street to build some luxury townhouses. This divides the street, with Gail, Ken, Audrey and Emily all refusing to sell up their properties to Matthew. This leads to some more eager residents such as Blanche, Sally and Vera to make their lives a living hell, with the Barlows torn apart as Blanche and Tracy take one side, and Ken and Deirdre the other. Tracy threatens to stop them from seeing Amy until they sell up and Vera starts up a vicious rumour about Audrey using sub-par products on peoples hair to save money. With Audrey losing customers in their droves, she is forced to sell the salon to KingCo. Ken, on the other hand, is refusing to sell despite being isolated from the rest of the community. Sally refuses to speak to former best friend Gail and she also makes a comment about Emily being so close to the grave that she might as well sell up soon. Mike also refuses to sell up the factory, which causes Blanche to evict Danny, Frankie, Jamie and Warren from her house. As the final date for everyone to sell approaches, Fred and Ashley decide not to sell up, and Les stands on the side of the non-sellers as he doesnt want to have to move to another council house. Roy leads the residents in a protest to stop Matthew King from tearing down the street and King leaves Weatherfield defeated. Danny offers to buy Blanche's house from her and the Baldwins move back in. Vera still refuses to talk to anyone in the Street and Sally and Kevin move out of Weatherfield.

The Kabin is put in serious danger when Norris notices someone very dubious making regular visits a day watching when the post is collected. He later posts a letterbomb detonated to explode when collected by the post van but the van is delayed and the bomb blasts the shop killing Norris but Rita is protected from any serious burns due to the excessive make up she applied that morning.

Sounds quite Dallas & Dynasty but who cares!!!!!!!!

MY PLOT:

New character Abby Stockford arrives in Weatherfield with her son Gary and 3 year daughter Nina. Abby fits in very well, she's assertive and strong and speaks her mind, plus she has links to the Street, her aunt being Rita Sullivan. Abby is employed as a barmaid at the Rovers and is an instant hit. She does however have a cold relationship at best with Shelley Unwin, who is rather jealous of her.
When Abby has a one night stand with Charlie, iand Shelley catches them, but they don't see her. Out of shock from her discovery, Shelley miscarries Charlie's baby.
Shelley finds Abby's address book the day she announces she is leaving Weatherfield to start afresh. She steals it, but not before getting into a catfight with Abby in the Rovers, slapping her hard to the ground. Abby grabs Shelley and pushes her onto the bar, pinning her down.

ABBY: What the flamin hell is wrong with you?
SHELLEY: Don't think you've gotten away with any of this, you bitch!
ABBY: With what? Shelley, stop it. Just STOP!
SHELLEY: Let go of me, you COW!!!

Shelley, announces to all the punters, filling up inside to watch the drama that the new barmaid of the Rovers is a slut, and she wouldn't be caught dead serving pints in the same pub as a two bit homewrecker. Charlie rails at Shelley she's gone mad, then Shelley in tears announces she miscarried their baby after watching him and Abby having sex in their bed. There are OOOOs and AHHHHs in the pub, as Shelley stands there, weathering the storm. Abby leans on the bar in shock as Shelley announces she's leaving and never coming back. There is silence in the pub as people register Shelley's torment. Outside, Shelley looks at Abby's address book in the cab and snaps it shut.

SHELLEY: That was just for starters...

Abby's enemies stack up after Shelley departs. The plot thickens when the Rovers comes up for grabs and Abby decides she wants to be the landlady. She establishes a real rival in Janice Battersby, who taunts her about Shelley. Both are brassy, but Abby has a much sharper tongue, constantly making Janice look like an idiot.
At the same time, Abby falls into bed with dangerous sociopath Malcolm Brice (who viewers discover is the man who stalked Maria when she became a stripper, thats another plot i made up) and he instantly declares his love for her. She unceremoniously dumps him and he tries to kill himself. He is carted off to the mental hospital.

One night, Abby is attacked in the Rovers by a masked figure, who beats her and smashes up the place. The episode ends with Abby lying almost dead on the floor of the Rovers, the assilant ripping the CLOSED sign off the door and putting it on her.

PART TWO coming LATER...

My plotline:
Jimmy 'No Slacking' Patton takes over The Underworld when Mike Baldwin flees the country accused of tax evasion - and puts all the workers under his 'No Slacking' regime as used on ChuckleVision with Paul and Barry Elliott (AKA The Chuckle Brothers).
Here's a photo of him with The Chuckle Brothers:
http://www.tvtome.com/images/people/...4-34416-sm.jpg

Mike Baldwin is jailed and a 'Free Mike' campaign gets going, like the 'Free Deirdre' one....

No Slacking becomes a figure of hatred in Weatherfield, and a workers'revolt gets underway.

Jimmy 'No Slacking' Patton calls in The Chuckle Brothers to help him, but even they can't stop his unpopularity.....

How's this for a plotline??

It could be a success.

Sarah Lou would move to Canada with Bethaneh to work for her uncle, the one Nick used to work for.

Tracy's baby would turn out not to be Steve's but Wally the gardener's. (bloke Blanche was seeing.) Now you may remember Roy went to see Wally who said it was impossible that the baby was his ...... but what if it turned out he was lying? At the time they just took his word for it and as I recall there was never any DNA test proving Amy was Steve's.

That would be a great opportuinty to take them all off to appear on the Trisha show.

I know that it's a cheesy idea but I think the outcome could be both hilarious and quite hard-hitting.

Just imagine Blanche arguing with Liz, and Ken joins the discussion via telephone-link. Steve and Wally have a DNA test, while Tracy gets the lie-detector and the DNA outcome is that neither of them are Amy's father!
