Shockingly unfair...

... that Robbie had to dance a Cha-Cha to a Jive song last night The song was way too fast and even had a swing rhythm (hence why his side chasses were kind of 'bouncy'). I don't mind them personalising the songs to reflect the celebrity, but this shouldn't be to the detriment of the dnace.

Yes, I agree.

If some contestants are forced to dance to the wrong music, then they should make it a rule that applies to everybody, so nobody is allowed to have a tune that characterises the dance they are trying to do.
Then nobody would be dancing with an unfair advantage of a tune that fits the steps they are doing, as sometimes happens at present.

I should imagine Ola would have approved the music and if it had been wrong would not have gone ahead with it

Was it a Cha Cha Cha? - looked like a Paso Doble.

The dancers choose their own music, the only criteria is they must not pick any music that has been used in the last couple of shows.

I must admit it was an odd tempo for a cha cha cha. The extent of Robbie standing around whilst Ola danced round him was noticeable, which I could have put down to either him not being very good (yet) or not trying, but for the music, which was the one thing I thought about afterwards.

sorry to bring up my own OP thread again, but was racking my brains to think where Edwina's 'Cha-Cha' song had been used before...

For Gloria and Darren's Jive (series 3)

OK, so Edwina wasn't popular anyway, but she might have got a few more judges' points and viewer votes (and thus avoided the drop) if she had proper (ok, well at least dancable) music for the dance.

Gloria also lost (voted off) with Darren when she danced 'jive' to that song.

Flavia said tonight that they were given their next track. Whether that is because it is a themed week, I don't know, but sometimes it is out of the hands of the pros.

On ITT Zoe was talking to Russell and Flavia and asked them about the song they are dancing to this week. They said they loved it but hadn't chosen it.
