Don't get me wrong, this woman can sing, however it just seems that whatever she releases gets mega hyped and played on the radio an awful lot. Makes me wonder what would happen if she released a single of her doing nothing or using the toilet!

I think she's good but not brilliant, what do others think?

I think she's an amazing performber, but the facade of her whole "humble" act really annoys me.

I think SHE is amazing, but completely outshines her material 90% of the time.

Not really

I don't listen much to her music but the woman has a great voice, a great dancer, a great performer. You can't say that about today's artists to be honest. She is the only female artist who can do everything and has been doing it for more than 15 years. She deserves what she gets because she worked all her life to be the artist she is now.

What Simon Cowell said about Beyonce this week sums it up.

In a separate interview with the gossip site, Cowell doted on the music stars for their "unbelievable" success, and singled out Beyonce's achievements, calling her "the biggest star we've seen in 20 years; we're seeing sort of the rise of the super female pop star. It's like a different breed."
I personally don't hear a lot of Beyonce on the Radio. All i keep hearing is Rihanna, Adele, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga and some of UK generic tunes.

In the US, definetely!!

Beyonce is an amazing performer, one of the most gifted and one of the very few "total packages" as an entertainer. She can slay a stage like very few others can in her generation but her stage presence has made people overestimate her in EVERY other aspect, especially the dancing (she has some incredible choreos, but she just doesn't have the extended capabilities that a great dancer should have.High energy does not equal good choreo!), the creativity (noone is original of course, but people are giving her too much credit for ideas that weren't hers. And when it comes to the studio, she's pretty active by doing vocal arrangements and a little bit of the lyrics, but she often says "I wrote this song" which is inaccurate and leads her producers to leave tactful hints about the truth -and then get fired), and of course her music.Do I even need to explain why this aspect is overrated?

Overall, Beyonce is one of the top 3 performers we have right now, but I just CAN'T take the insane hype around her. From the Kanye VMA's incident to Jay-Z calling her the female Micheal Jackson (http://data.whicdn.com/images/122308...ntud_thumb.gif), it's all just TOO much, especially for a woman who just released a chant about "Who run the world?GIRLS" repeated over a poor beat multiple times alongside with "Who run this motha****a??GIRLS!".I understand most of the hype and I don't think she's VERY overrated (because she's MILES ahead of most of her peers), but it has to stop, because it's getting annoying

No she's not overrated. No one else right now can do what she does on stage and I just love her music.

She's not at all overrated IMO. She's worked her way up to becoming a huge star, she's done it step by step, has been praised for her live performance as well as her ability to create hit singles throughout her time on top. She's been a shining example to a lot of young women in the US, she's a good role model to have as a popstar, she makes hardwork and determination seem glamourous, and she has reached such a huge status in her career now, she's got a lot to be proud of.

Beyonce is hyped for a reason, it didn't just happen, she's been steadily working her way up to this point and wowing audiences for the best part of 15 years, and long may it continue.

I love Beyonce. I think she's amazing

The only things that i find overated are her excessive amount of Grammys wins. That's all really. I wouldn't say she has been worthy of about 75 per cent of her wins.

Other than that, she is an amazing performer, has done 4 great albums and an amazing catalogue of songs.

Hardly overrated, she'll go down as one of the greatest artists of this generation. She is the epitome of what they call "The X Factor."

No, she's one of the few "modern pop" artists around who can actually sing, yes even live and without the aid of a supercomputer! So for that along she deserves some credit...

it's a poor reflection of modern pop music when someone like beyonce is held in such high esteem.she is a good singer/performer but that is where it ends.best of a bad bunch, that's all.

If I Were A Boy was the only song of her's I liked.

Then I found out she took it off the young girl who wrote it.

Much more emotion in the voice of the girl who wrote it too.

Wow, I didn't know about this. So much more emotion! I just wish the quality was better.

Did she actually steal it, though?Because this link could just be a demo that the songwriter (BC Jean) made for Beyonce to learn the notes. And at least she included the original songwriter in the credits and didn't get songwriting credits for the song herself, which she normally does.I hope she didn't churn out any "this is a song I wrote..." nonsense on tour

Underrated if anything. Agree with Jay-Z, she's the new MJ.

"Beyonce tried to take her song, “If I Were a Boy,” for herself and claim authorship. In the end, this talented singer songwriter from Southern California got a $250,000 settlement and a deal with Clive Davis‘s team, which pursued her."

She seems like a very nice person and has a great voice, but I'm pretty sick of seeing her videos everytime I turn on a music channel.

I just hate that all she really does are RnB songs, which pretty much sound the same, whereas Kelly Rowland has done both RnB and dance music.

I love her but she once you've seen her once, you've seen everything. Flicking the hair, shaking the ass, every single time.

WOW!!Go BC Jean!Clever girl!!And of course some people are going to ignore the proof that Beyonce has stolen or attempted to steal 50% of the songs she's sung in her entire career She still did it justice and she made this song VERY popular, even if she sang with notably less emotion, but that won't change the fact that she tried to snatch it and not give the original songwriters any credit

Underrated if anything. Agree with Jay-Z, she's the new MJ.

I think she's overrated by those people who seem to think she's one of the greatest of all time. She may be one of the best popular artists around at the moment but that's not really saying much when the standard is so low. Her voice isn't anything special when you compare it to the best soulful singers of the past in my opinion.
