I think Bey is a great dancer. I can see why people may see she's not technically the best. I'll just go with Ciara as an example, she is technically better. However her routines sometimes aren't as exciting as Beyoncé's imo.

Beyonce's dance routines are always of a certain genre, like the Fosse-type dances she used during the I Am Sasha Fierce era and in this era she's been using African tribal dances etc.

Her routines aren't always the conventional arm here, leg there routines that a lot of other popstars use, that don't have much thought behind them. She's brought back certain dancing styles into the mainstream or made others more famous. And she's been called an amazing dancer by some of the best dancers in the world.

Yeah I agree actually, her dance style is different form others. I didn't really think about it that way. I think she's one of the best dancers around right now anyway. What makes her more impressive is the way she can still sing whilst doing all these tiring routines.

She's DEFINITELY overrated. She has yet to produce an album without any filler.

Well, it's mostly about what the fact that she sounds distant and cold and that she can't convey as much emotion as she should in her ballads.Also, the Independent stated: "few of these songs are anything more than merely acceptable. The "exciting" element is not really about the choreo itself, though.It's just because Beyonce has loads of stage presence and more experience at entertaining huge crowds than Ciara.Ciara hasn't even toured by herself, so she hasn't found a way too be exciting yet.And of course Ciara is an 100% hip hop dancer, while Beyonce is by no means in that category, so Beyonce's mix of different styles into one choreo is more exciting than Ciara's perfectly synchronized solely hip-hop routines, but that doesn't mean that Beyonce is a more exciting dancer.She is a more exciting performer, but not a more exciting dancer specifically.

I think so by some but not everyone. She has some good songs but her latest hits for the most part been bad. Run The World is dire. Her voice is good but at times passionless and her songs are very anti men and dull at times which puts me of her a lot. Apparently she claims to write songs when she hasn't and seems big headed.

Oh those are fair comments, they're opinions about the way the reviewer felt when hearing the songs. There's nothing there actually questioning her vocal ability. I thought it was going to be something about that.

What I mean is that from Ciara sometimes we see the same moves, and she needs to go harder. Even stans on her fansite board were saying that she needs a new choreographer. She can obviously dance brilliantly, but she just needs to go harder. I get that from Bey.

Janet, Ciara, Jennifer Lopez and Madonna are all technically better dancers than Beyonce and they are either promoting/touring or recording RIGHT now, so they count

When it comes to singers, I will just name Christina Aguilera, Mary J Blidge, Monica, Mariah Carey, Jade Ewen, Fantasia (I absolutely hate her tone, I can't stand her, but objectively she's more capabl without trying to discredit Beyonce) and Jennifer Hudson.But there are some truly breathtaking vocalists out there that remain unsigned.

All those siting Ciara as a great dancer... Hm... She reminds me of an Aaliyah wannabe but Aaliyah had a grace that Ciara could never imitate.

You're definetely right, but that's because Ciara doesn't mix it up at all.Ciara is a perfect hip hop dancer.Beyonce is a flexible woman with a good choreographer and a tireless spirit that helps her go through 16-hour rehearsals and I respect that.But it still doesn't change the fact that Ciara is a natural dancer and she is an absolute expert at her style and at her lane, while Beyonce hasn't really discovered her "signature" dancing style.Beyonce is more exciting because she takes different elements and turns them into pop choreo and also because she has more energy on stage and more background dancers and of course a higher budget.If Ciara actually gets a high enough budget, she may afford a better choreographer and better staging which will make her entire show more "exciting"

Mariah does the high pitched beauty very, very well and Christina does the strong Aretha-type vocals very, very well, but Beyonce goes between both styles very, very well.

I've seen Jennifer Lopez live...no way on this earth is she a better dancer than Beyonce in anyway at all. Obviously that's just my opinion, but I would find it very hard to believe that anyone who has seen Beyonce and Jennifer live, would think that Jennifer is a better dancer. It's laughable. I've also seen two of Madonna's tours and again, Madonna I feel is nothing compared to Beyonce. Madonna's dancing consists of mostly just grinding and her dance routines are nowhere near as complex or as detailed as Beyonce's. Janet and Ciara I have never seen live, but have been a fan of both for a number of years. Both amazing dancers, but if you're comparing them to Beyonce, I still think Beyonce wins hands down. Janet and Ciara's dancing is excellent...but it's a choreographed arm here, leg there, arm up, arm down. It's very simple dance routines carried out with great precision. Whereas when Beyonce dances, everything flows, everything is fluid. Her dance routines are complex, she moves with style, she's sharp.

As for the singers you mentioned...Mariah Carey is no longer the outstanding singer she once was. I saw her on the Emancipation Of Mimi tour and she was excellent, but nowhere near in the league she used to be in. Fantasia has a soulful voice, but she's awful when she tries to sing low. Mary J, Monica and Jade Ewen especially are laughable...great voices, but nothing compared to Beyonce...I'd love you to post a link to a video of them singing better than Beyonce. The only one out of that list that comes close is Christina...however, doing a few riffs, hitting all the notes and screaming your way through a song does not make a good singer. She can't hold tone and she has a bad pace. The thing is though, I think a lot of this is going to be difference of opinion.
