Agreed on both counts. It's easily the album of 2011 for me, and nice to see it going down well with the critics too. Just a shame it's not selling brilliantly.

Based on the previews it truly is a great album. And critics love it. Unfortunately it cannot be bought outside the UK. So someone like me cannot pay Nicola money for getting to listen to her music, even though I wanted to. The only way a fan outside the UK can get the album is to illegally download it. That's messed up.
In a digital age when physical copies do not have to be shipped to other countries, why can't they just immediately release the album on-line for the whole world? Why do they have to put geographical restrictions on downloading from on-line shops, when it's such an easy way to distribute music? Luckily for Nicola, I'm actually waiting for the album to become available to the whole world. That's how adamant I'm on doing the right thing, and supporting he financially. I think she deserves my money, so I'm not going to get it illegally. But I would sure want to, because I really want the album right now. |

I can't take her seriously. I think being a 'Girls Aloud' has held her back.

The album is brilliant. If you're onto nonsence, mindless tunes with very little in the way of lyrics, then this is not for you. This album is like reading someones inner thoughts, set to music, and she has a lot to say!
No she may not look like Cheryl Cole, but that doesn't mean she's not worth the listening to. If this album had the name of say 'Pink or Beyonce' on the sleeve, critics would herald it as a masterpiece. Listen to it then judge, not the other way around. |
