Will The Old Ipod Range Fall In Price?

I can't remember what way this usually works, probably because I've never been interested in an iPod, but am looking a 4th Gen iPod touch for my son for Xmas. At the min they are going for around £160+ for the 8GB, do retailers generally drop these in price once the new range has been announced or do they just do away with them?

Retailers usually try and get rid of them before the new ones come out but if they still have stock you usually see a minimum reduction.

Considering the new ipods will likely have the A5 and 512MB ram they would be worth an extra 30 quid or so.
