Do you think Jennifer Lopez will tour?

So, the latest buzz around the net is that Jennifer Lopez is releasing a greatest hits in 2012. If this rumour turns out to be true, obviously she will be doing American Idol next year, but could you see her doing a full world tour in 2013?

I can kind of believe it. I understand why she hasn't toured extensively before, she isn't a big album seller so i couldn't see her doing, say, a Love? world tour because not enough people would have bought the album to justify her doing one.

But, with a greatest hits album i could see her touring it, because she has alot of cracking singles, and people would want to see that, plus the anticipation of it being Jlo's first world tour, i honestly think she would fill the venues.

What do you guys think?

Hmm...well, I don't see the Greatest Hits collection coming. She's very new at her new label and they haven't got that much money or success with her, so it sounds weird. But a tour is possible. She has had so many endorsement deals this year (the most she's had since 2004), so if one of those companies that she's a spokesperson for accepts to be the tour sponsor, then she's going to have a big-venue tour (not arenas or anything, but still big venues) for 10-15 dates in the US and 15 more in some select markets in Europe and Asia, maybe in Australia too.

She might pull it off, but she's not one of those artists that it is guaranteed they are going to fill those huge venues, like Madonna, U2 or Christina for example. Her label won't risk it.And I'm not saying that they are going to send her to small clubs, they are just not going to book gigantic arenas. That's all...And, btw, she just came back to the charts after 2 chart disasters and she's never done a world tour, so I don't think she's capable of filling a huge arena tbh, even though I love her

I love her too but hopefully one day she can!
Although seeing her on tour at all would be great!

She is very underrated i think personally.

Her voice is crap but she sure can dance! I'm sure she'd put in some good routines.

Well I'd love to see her live, and so would quite a few people I know (although I don't know enough people to fill an arena )
And I'd definately buy the greatest hits album, so fingers crossed!

her voice is nowhere as near as bad as people say I would pay to see her live anyone remember the live from puerto rico.
It apeared to be all live she also started out as a trained dancer so I know she would put on a good show.

She's never really toured. She's done shows in Latin America with Marc Anthony but she's never really done a solo tour.

I can't see her touring. She's to lazy! And she doesn't want to get shown up miming!

I really think she should tour, I think she will fill seats, France and Spain love her and she will fill here in the UK. She should tour it would be great if she does! HOPEFULLY! But she has American Idol and her babies, but she needs to come here and promote 'Papi' if she gets an X Factor slot that would be amazing!

She should! She definately is established enough and has the credentials to get an xfactor slot.

Maybe even a "Jennifer Lopez week" like Britney had?

Jennifer Lopez could initially tour around the smaller venues like the Apollo and stuff and if the response is good she could scale it up to the bigger arenas like Katy Perry has done.

I'm unsure if she would do a full-on world tour because of her Idol commitments and it would depend on if she did release a Greatest Hits or not.

So nobody thinks she could do arenas? Even if it was just a couple of shows in London and nowhere else?

She has been around just as long as Britney & Beyonce (i'll admit her music career hasn't been as big as theirs)
The point i'm making is Katy Perry only did that starting out, where as Lopez is already established?

Jennifer Lopez can fill a BIG venue but not an arena. It's a small difference really. And Katy Perry has been having non-stop smashes for 3 years, so she's more current than Jennifer who just came back after a long hiatus and even though I will never understand how someone would pay money to see Katy live, I also understand why Katy's label wanted to risk it.And just because Katy is doing some huge venues, it doesn't mean she fills them

I reckon she could fill one or two arenas, but not a multi-venue arena tour.

I don't reckon she will

But it's shocking how someone who has had a music career going for over 10 years have barely toured. I wonder why she has never brought herself to do it. It's perhaps why she has never been respected that much when it comes to her music because she has failed to establish herself as a performer.
