There are many different routes the pregnancy could take, for instance will their be complications? Will the baby be disabled n some way? When you think about it, there is a lot of scope for storylines, but it's all far too issue-based for my liking. Eileen is one of the most popular characters on the Street at the moment, and whilst a storyline of this nature will undoubtedly gain a lot of appreciation, I will always see it as being a short-term ratings grab, and eventually the ruin of Eileen. I cannot see how another child will help to further Eileen's character, IMO it can only hold her back.

I agree, I don't think Eileen getting pregnant will help her character in the long term. Already she is quite limited, mainly due to the storyliners, a baby would further ground her I think.

Can't really see this happening, certainly hope is doesn't - there is so much more potential in Eileen's character, the writers should be making the most of the excellent Sue Cleaver
