If I charge my iPhone using the proper Apple charger it lasts 2 or 3 days on a full charge.

Over the last few days, however, I've been mucking about with iTunes quite a bit so I've let my phone charge up by leaving it plugged into my PC and charge from a USB port.

Odd thing is that when it's charged from a USB port the battery only seems to last a day or so.

The charger has a USB plug on it so you'd think it gives out the same voltage as a USB port.
Dunno if it's something to do with the current from the USB port not being enough to properly charge the phone where the proper charger can.

Anybody else noticed this?

The proper charger will give more output to the phone in simple terms, whereas the USB port is limited as to how much it can give.

Similar voltage, different current.

And can depend on which USB port you plug into.

Well, that's odd.

Last night a reply to this thread asked whether it was a USB1 or USB2 port and went on to say "the answer is in the question", whatever that meant.

I posted a reply and now it seems Glompers post has changed and my reply has vanished.

Very strange.

*EDIT*
Funny thing is, when I do a search for some of the specific words I used in the missing post, this is the only result and yet, apparently, the words I searched for aren't visible.

Somebody's been changing things.

We are not supposed to comment on what the Mods do, or why.

I don't have a problem with their moderation on this or any other thread.

Don't you think it's a little curious that a simple question asking whether I was plugging my phone into a USB1 or USB2 port was removed, along with my reply?

I'm just baffled as to why anybody would think such a thing worthy of removal.
