So, there's been endless speculation on it, so I figured it'd be easier and more convenient for fans if all the endless stories on it are discussed within one thread.

2012 is drawing ever closer, and there's still no word on what's going to happen. Cheryl releasing solo material early in the year throws another spanner into the works too.

Even in the past few days there have been conflicting comments from the girls. Here Sarah says she wants an album and tour. Whereas Here Nicola gives a vague answer about live shows.

So, speculate/discuss away....

I'd rather have another Nadine solo album. It was so under rated. Tesco deal was awful idea. Shoulda went to iTunes, Amazon etc so more people would buy and love it

If they can't even post a pic of them all together with Nadine then what hope is there of a reunion next year? there is obviously still issues going on there if you ask me.

thanks for the thread gav. the group are still represented by management and they are under contract with a record company. so contractually they will return at some point in some shape or form. i cant wait.

Many bands have been under contract still and never released anything else.

you said yourself only an hour ago. four of them were pictured together recently, so majority of the band are on good terms. next year wont go by without some sort of reunion.

But they wont do something without Nadine and who knows what her opinion on it all is. If she can't even reunite for a pic to be uploaded to twitter.....

she is in the us, so i doubt she would fly back for a picture. maybe this will enlighten you to her actual opinion.

They dont talk all the time though thats been confirmed, she obviously just said that to keep GA fans happy.

The being in the US excuse doesn't wash with me, they could have waited until she was back in the UK before leaking a pic of them together but they didn't and leaked one of the 4 of them minus Nadine. Actions speak louder than words.

Also note the part where their manager Hilary Shaw says a new album, is unlikely

i wasn't counting on a studio album next year anyhow. i just want something to mark the occasion.

I'd hate to hear a GA song without Nadine's vocals on it. Sarah/Cheryl/Kimberley's vocals are just hideous and Nicola can't carry them all.

They did a decent job without Nadine when they did the live lounge version of Apologize http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1azwYJA5pM - obviously without Nadine there they've lost the power behind their sound, but I think they sound great.

And yeah, Hilary says an album is unlikely, and I struggle to see when they would find the time to record it even if it did go ahead, but you get the occasional comment from the girls that they'd like to record new stuff. It's pretty much guaranteed that they're coming back in some form or other, but in what form and to what extent I'm dying to find out.

A musician friend of mine told me a month ago that a mate of his (another musician) had been booked for the tour in 2012. I said I was suprised as I presumed they wouldn't be getting back together. Apparently it's happening.
