Recommend Me An Android Phone
Hi,
I need a mobile phone to navigate interactive web pages via touch screen. My main criteria are: 1. Fastest possible access to interact with web sites. 2. Decent resolution and clarity of display. 3. High build quality. Other functionality such as jam sandwiches, ice cream with chips, email, running apps, watching live video, recording video etc are all irrelevant apart from the obvious one of being able to make and receive phone calls. It seems as though an android phone would do what I need, but where to start? All I need is the absolute best phone and operating system to specifically meet the 3 criteria I have outlined above, nothing else. Thx Snaffos |

Sumsung galaxy S2 seems to be the big dog on the block at the moment, and I say that as a HTC fan. Try checking out some reviews of that and see what others say.

Thx for the reply, The concern I have with HTC is the snooping and logging that they are supposed to have installed on their phones to track the users activity Snaffos |

I used to have a HTC Hero. Now on Samsung Galaxy S-II and there is no looking back. WiFi and web browsing, display quality, general speed, is just all great. The only downside is the battery life. You'll need to put it on the charger during the night, and if you make frequent calls with it, maybe even during the day. |

The samsung's main problem IMO is that I don't like the user interface look they have put on there, I much prefer the Sense interface by HTC. 3) If Flash isn't an issue - take a look at the HTC Titan. It's a windows phone so won't have any of the snooping issues that might be affecting android phones from HTC. The reason I suggest it is it has the largest screen of any modern phone at 4.7" but it still pocketable and usable as a phone. The larger screen size may help you in your web browsing. I had the HTC Sensation, call quality was very tinny, it developed a fault & Vodafone swapped it for the Samsung Galaxy S2, far better, really good call quality.

HTC Desire S I would say. I have had it about 3 weeks and im 99% happy with it.
I did however have signal problems with it yesterday while I was out near the Forth Bridges. Yet some others I know also on 02 had one or two bars for signal on there IPhone and Nokia at the same place. Darren |

Samsung all the way and if you think they are following you, tracking you, put on a tin foil hat then sit alone in a dark room for an hour.

Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC Sensation are your best bets...for now.
Things may change on 11th October though

You mean when the new Iphone is due to come out.
Darren iPhone 5 will just be on par with the SGS2 and is just an update to keep up tbh. The Nexus Prime will set yet another benchmark for mobile devices I'm sure... |

No that's October 4th. I meant the arrival of Google's new Autobot the Nexus Prime, which WILL crush all other phones out there at the moment. Even the rumoured specs are insane...
